Kepala Dinas Perkebunan dan Peternakan Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Lies Handayani memberikan keterangan kepada wartawan.(ist)
INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN – Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumatera Utara (Sumut) memastikan ketersedian bahan pangan asal ternak, yakni daging sapi, ayam ras dan telur, cukup aman menjelang perayaan Idulfitri 1444 H/2023 M. Kebutuhan daging Sumut surplus sebesar 2.230 ton. Pemerintah juga pastikan daging aman dari virus penyakit mulut dan kuku (PMK).
“Jelang Idulfitri 1444 H konsumsi daging pasti akan meningkat. Stok daging kita surplus sebesar 2.230 ton,” kata Kepala Dinas Perkebunan dan Peternakan Sumut Lies Handayani Siregar, Senin (10/4).
Lies Handayani tidak menampik adanya kenaikan harga di pasar, apalagi jelang perayaan nantinya. Pun demikian, berbagai langkah telah dilakukan agar harga dapat stabil.
“Fluktuasi harga pada saat ini untuk daging sapi sekitar Rp130 ribu sampai Rp160 ribu/kg. Telur Rp1.400 – Rp1.800/butir,” jelasnya.
Menurut Lies Handayani, selain daging segar, Bulog nantinya juga akan menyediakan daging beku yang harganya lebih murah dari daging segar, yakni kisaran harga Rp80 ribu. “Jangan khawatir dengan daging beku ini karena sangat aman untuk dikonsumsi,” katanya.
“Tahun ini dilaporkan kabupaten/kota untuk penyakit PMK sudah sangat menurun. Di setiap perbatasan provinsi sudah ada cek poin yang memastikan ternak bebas PMK, jadi setiap ternak yang masuk atau keluar provinsi akan terdeteksi virus PMK hewan tersebut,” jelas Lies lagi.(rel).
