Tuntutan tersebut diajukan Jaksa Penuntut Umum( JPU) Sri Yanti Panggabean melalui Jaksa Pengganti Novalita dihadapan Majelis Hakim diketuai Lenny
Menurut Jaksa, perbuatan terdakwa warga Jalan Garu III / Jl. Makmur No.147 Kel. Harjosari I Kec. Medan Amplas Kota Medan Alamat KTP : Jl. SM. Raja Km.8 Gg. Ikhlas Kel. Timbang Deli Kecamatan Amplas itu terbukti melanggar 378 KUHP
Hal yang memberatkan perbuatan terdakwa merugikan saksi korban.Sedang yang meringankan terdakwa mengakui perbuatannya dan belum pernah dihukum
Usai pembacaan tuntutan, terdakwa Syamsul memohon keringanan hukuman kepada hakim.” Tolong hukuman saya diringankan buk hakim. Saya mengakui perbuatan yang lakukan salah, tapi saya gak menikmati uang saksi korban,” ujar pemborong kecil-kecilan itu.

Sebelumnya Syamsul didakwa menipu Ricky Winardi Azwir warga Jalan Syailendra Kel. Petisah Hulu Kec. Medan Baru bersama Abdullah Harahap alias Asrul dengan modus adik Rektor UINSU untuk mengerjakan proyek di UINSU senilai Rp 60 miliar.
“Kalau saksi korban mau, pasti proyek tersebut akan kita dapatkan”, karena terdakwa Syamsul adik kandung Rektor UINSU dan kalau kita yang kerjakan maka hasilnya sangat menguntungkan,” ujar Asrul meyakinkan saksi korban kala itu
Merasa tertarik, saksi korban menanamkan modalnya Rp 700 juta yang diberikan secara bertahap kepada terdakwa Syamsul.
Setelah diberikan, hingga kini proyek yang dijanjikan terdakwa Syamsul dan kawannya tidak merealisasikan proyek tersebut, walau saksi menunggunya hampir setahun.
Merasa tertipu akhirnya saksi korban mengadu ke Polrestabes Medan.Terdakwa Syamsul berhasil ditangkap, sedang Abdullah Harahap berhasil melarikan diri.(mp)
