Brimob Polda Sumut produktif kelola lahan untuk ketahanan pangan.(ist).
Medan, Invocavit.Com – Jajaran Satbrimob Polda Sumatera Utara terus berperan aktif dalam mendukung program 100 hari kerja Presiden, khususnya dalam bidang ketahanan pangan.
Memasuki minggu pertama Februari 2025, berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh personel Satbrimob untuk mengembangkan sektor pertanian dan perikanan di berbagai lokasi. Program ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk menjaga ketahanan pangan internal tetapi juga sebagai bentuk kontribusi kepada masyarakat sekitar.
Di bawah koordinasi Staf Satuan, berbagai jenis tanaman pangan telah dikembangkan di lahan seluas 150 m² di Kantor Bhayangkari Makosat Brimob Polda Sumut. Berbagai komoditas seperti jagung, sawi, kangkung, ubi kayu, dan pisang telah ditanam dengan jadwal panen yang bervariasi.
Hingga saat ini, telah dilakukan pemanenan kacang panjang yang hasilnya dibagikan kepada personel. Kendala utama dalam pengelolaan lahan ini adalah curah hujan tinggi yang menyebabkan genangan air serta kurangnya pemupukan.
Selain itu, upaya besar juga dilakukan di lahan ketahanan pangan yang berada di area PT Martabe, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Dengan luas mencapai 16 hektare, lahan ini difokuskan untuk budidaya jagung dengan berbagai varietas. Diperkirakan, hasil panen jagung pada Maret 2025 bisa mencapai total 49,2 ton.
Meski menghadapi tantangan berupa serangan hama dan batang busuk akibat hujan deras, personel yang terlibat telah melakukan langkah-langkah pencegahan seperti penyemprotan pestisida dan perawatan intensif.
Di sisi lain, Detasemen Gegana Satbrimob Polda Sumut turut mengelola lahan ketahanan pangan seluas 200 m² di Mako Den Gegana. Berbagai tanaman seperti singkong, jagung, cabai, tomat, dan aneka sayuran telah ditanam.
Saat ini, persiapan panen singkong dan jagung tengah berlangsung dengan estimasi hasil mencapai 150 kg. Kendala utama di lokasi ini adalah genangan air akibat hujan deras yang dapat merusak akar tanaman. Sebagai solusi, personel telah menambahkan sekam untuk menjaga stabilitas tanah.
Sementara itu, Batalyon A Satbrimob Polda Sumut mengelola beberapa lahan pertanian yang cukup luas, termasuk lahan ubi kayu dan jagung di Binjai Timur serta lahan melon dan sayuran di Mako Batalyon A. Total luas lahan mencapai lebih dari 33.000 m² dengan estimasi hasil panen mencapai puluhan ton.
Selain itu, program perikanan juga berjalan dengan baik melalui pemanfaatan kolam bioflok yang menampung ribuan ekor ikan lele dan nila, yang direncanakan untuk dipanen pada pertengahan 2025.
Upaya ketahanan pangan juga diperkuat oleh jajaran Kompi 1, 2, 3, dan 4 Batalyon A, yang masing-masing mengelola lahan tanaman dan perikanan. Di Kompi 2, misalnya, terdapat lahan cabai merah, pisang, dan pepaya yang siap panen dalam beberapa bulan ke depan. Selain itu, kolam perikanan dengan ribuan ekor ikan gurami, nila, dan lele telah dipersiapkan untuk mendukung program ketahanan pangan ini.
Di sektor peternakan, Batalyon B Satbrimob Polda Sumut telah mengembangkan program budidaya ayam kampung di Kesatrian Paino SK Mako Batalyon Tebing Tinggi. Dengan populasi ayam mencapai 130 ekor, panen pertama ditargetkan menghasilkan sekitar 70 kg daging ayam jantan, sementara ayam betina akan dikembangkan sebagai ayam petelur.
Selain itu, program perikanan di Mako Batalyon B juga mencatat perkembangan positif, dengan estimasi hasil panen ikan nila, mas, dan koi mencapai 500 kg pada April 2025.
