Kejuaraan Sergai Open Marching Band (SOMB) 2025 resmi ditutup sekaligus penyerahan piala pada Minggu (16/2) di Lapangan Sepak Bola Segitiga, Kecamatan Perbaungan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai(Sergai).

Acara yang berlangsung sejak hari Sabtu sampai hari Minggu ini menghadirkan berbagai kategori perlombaan seperti Drum Battle, Colour Guard Contest, dan Street Parade Drum Band dengan peserta dari berbagai daerah di Sumatera Utara serta Sumatera Barat.

Ketua Panitia, Murti Anugrah, saat dikonfirmasi wartawan, menyampaikan bahwa ajang ini menjadi momentum penting bagi marching band Sergai karena di gelar juga pada malam hari disambut antusias masyarakat.

“Kejuaraan Open marching band pada malam hari ini adalah yang kedua di Indonesia setelah di Yogyakarta maka ini perdana di Sumatera”

Penyerahan Piala diawali oleh perwakilan Polres Sergai Ipda Brimen Sihotang, dilanjutkan perwakilan Dandim 0204/DS Kapten Inf. Abdul Malik, anggota DPRD Sergai Yati Siregar, serta perwakilan Persatuan Drum Band Indonesia (PDBI) Sumatera Utara, Apri Sugiarto.

Penyerahan Piala dilanjutkan oleh Ketua panitia Murti Anugrah dan Sekjen KONI Ferry Anggara, juga turut menyerahkan Piala acara ini atlet peraih medali PON 2024, Siva dan Ratih atlet peraih medali PON 2016, hingga puncak acara penyerahan piala bergilir Bupati oleh Ketua KONI Sergai, H. Usman Effendi Sitorus.

Dalam sambutannya, Ketua KONI Sergai, H. Usman Effendi Sitorus, secara resmi menutup SOMB 2025. Ia menekankan bahwa masyarakat Serdang Bedagai sangat menginginkan agar kejuaraan ini dapat kembali digelar tahun depan.

“Kami mengapresiasi seluruh masyarakat karena melalui SOMB, perekonomian lokal bergerak, kebersamaan terjalin, dan yang terpenting, kegiatan positif ini bisa mengurangi kenakalan remaja serta dampak sosial negatif lainnya,” ujar Usman Effendi Sitorus.

Ia juga menyampaikan rasa terima kasih kepada berbagai pihak yang telah mendukung suksesnya acara ini, termasuk Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Sergai, Darma Wijaya dan Adlin Tambunan, Polres Sergai, Kodim 0204/DS, panitia penyelenggara, ormas serta masyarakat yang ikut berpartisipasi.

“Bagi yang menang, kami ucapkan selamat. Bagi yang belum, tetap semangat karena tahun depan kita akan mengulanginya lagi. Kami yakin keputusan juri adalah yang terbaik, karena mereka memiliki lisensi dan sertifikasi yang tidak diragukan,” tambahnya.

Dalam aspek pengamanan, Koordinator Pengamanan dan Publikasi Panitia SOMB, Ipda Brimen Sihotang, menegaskan bahwa Kejuaraan Sergai Open Marching Band (SOMB) 2025 telah berjalan baik dengan kepedulian sinergitas berbagai pihak dan acara berlangsung meriah, dengan dihadiri ribuan penonton tampak antusias.

“Acara berjalan lancar dengan pengamanan TNI-Polri, Dishub, Satpol PP, Dinkes Pemkab Sergai dan PLN Perbaungan serta dukungan rekan-rekan Wartawan, berjalan baik hingga penutupan petang hari. Dan ini merupakan kegiatan positif bagi generasi muda kita yang harus didukung semua pihak,” tegasnya.

Persaingan sengit terjadi pada babak Final Drum Battle. Setelah melalui berbagai tahap penilaian, akhirnya Fazansu Corps MTSN 1 Medan berhasil meraih Piala Bergilir Bupati Serdang Bedagai. Sementara itu, gelar Juara Favorit I diberikan kepada MB Gita Nada Raudlatul Hasanah Lumut Tapanuli Tengah.

Pengumuman pemenang dan penyerahan hadiah berlangsung meriah hingga acara resmi ditutup pada pukul 18.00 WIB. Kejuaraan ini tidak hanya menjadi ajang kompetisi, tetapi juga wadah bagi generasi muda untuk menyalurkan bakatnya di bidang seni musik dan marching band.

SOMB 2025 sukses besar dan mendapat apresiasi dari berbagai pihak. Harapan besar pun muncul agar kejuaraan ini bisa kembali digelar di tahun 2026 dengan skala yang lebih besar dan persaingan yang lebih ketat.
