INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN- Masyarakat Kelistrikan Indonesia Sumatera Utara (MKI Sumut) menggelar Seminar Nasional ‘Peluang dan Tantangan Terkait Peraturan Presiden Nomor 112/2022 Tentang Percepatan Pengembangan Energi Terbarukan Untuk Penyediaan Tenaga Listrik’, Kamis 8 Desember 2022.
Dalam seminar tersebut, turut dirangkai Pameran Inovasi Electrifying Lifestyle yang diadakan di Medan International Convention Center, Jalan Ringroad.
Hadir pada acara, Menteri ESDM diwakili Dirjen Energi Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi Dadan Kusdiana, Ketua MKI Pusat Efi Hariadi, Ketua MKI Sumut Dr HM Isa Indrawan diwakili Surya Tarmizi, Gubernur Sumut diwakili Staf Ahli Ekonomi dan Keuangan dan undangan lainnya.
Menteri ESDM diwakili Dirjen Energi Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi Dadan Kusdiana mengapresiasi seminar dan pameran yang diselenggarakan. Menurutnya, hal ini sebagai upaya mendukung target 23 persen emisi energi baru terbarukan pada tahun 2025 dan zero emisi tahun 2060.
“Sumber energi baru terbarukan yang dimiliki Indonesia meliputi tiga hal, yaitu besar, beragam dan tersebar. Tiga hal tersebut tidak ada di negara lain,” kata Dadan dalam sambutannya.
Dadan mengungkapkan, Sumut memiliki 40,06 persen energi baru terbarukan. Angka ini tentunya sangat bagus karena melewati rata-rata provinsi di Pulau Sumatera. Bahkan jauh melewati angka Indonesia yang hanya mencapai 13 persen. Selain itu, juga jauh lebih lengkap dari wilayah lain di Indonesia.
Ketua MKI Pusat Efi Hariadi menyampaikan transisi energi secara global mendorong pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan dan masa depan energi yang lebih bersih. Transisi energi yang didorong berbagai tujuan, termasuk meningkatkan dan mendiversifikasikan ekonomi, meningkatkan ketahanan energi dengan mengurangi ketergantungan impor, dan mengamankan aset energi bagi negara berkembang yang sedang membangun serta meningkatkan kualitas udara dan melakukan mitigasi perubahan iklim.
Efi menuturkan pembangunan ketenagalistrikan hijau yang menjadi komitmen global, seyogyanya juga sudah mendapatkan momentum yang ditunjukkan oleh kompetitifnya pembangkit energi terbarukan dan maraknya pengembangan teknologi baterai sebagai penyimpan energi.
Untuk itu, MKI dalam hal ini mengajak para stakeholder energi melakukan pendekatan less carbon melalui pengembangan energi baru terbarukan dan sumber daya fosil secara harmonis dibandingkan dengan zero emisi yang memerlukan pembiayaan sangat besar dan diperkirakan dapat berhasil bila dilakukan secara berkolaborasi dan bersinergi.
“Dukungan pemerintah terhadap proses transisi energi sudah ditunjukkan dengan terbitnya Peraturan Presiden Nomor 112/2022. Regulasi ini tentunya perlu diperlajari, dipahami, didiskusikan dengan seksama oleh seluruh stakeholder yang ada di sektor ketenagalistrikan agar proses transisi ini ke depan sesuai dengan rencana, dimana kita mengharapkan tercapainya bauran energi baru terbarukan 23 persen tahun 2025 dan zero emisi tahun 2060,” paparnya.
Ketua MKI Sumut Dr HM Isa Indrawan diwakili Surya Tarmizi mengatakan energi baru terbarukan memiliki tantangan yang sangat besar di masa mendatang.
