Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM: Wali Kota Medan Rico Tri Putra Waas menyebutkan sebanyak 51 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) telah beroperasi dari target 255 di wilayah yang dipimpinnya
“Untuk saat ini sudah ada sekitar 51 titik SPPG di Kota Medan,” ujar Rico Waas pada Program Sapa Warga di Medan, Sabtu.
Rico Waas mengatakan program yang digagas pemerintah pusat tersebut terus digencarkan pemerintah daerah karena memberikan efek ganda dalam pelaksanaannya.
Dia mengatakan 51 SPPG yang beroperasi tersebut telah menyerap sekitar 8.000 tenaga kerja yang tersebar di 21 kecamatan di wilayah itu.
“Kami berharap semakin banyak berdiri SPPG di Kota Medan,” kata dia.
Dalam mengoptimalkan pembentukan SPPG, Rico Waas menegaskan pemerintah daerah bakal melakukan berbagai upaya termasuk meningkatkan koordinasi dengan pemangku kebijakan terkait.
Ia mengatakan kota yang dipimpinnya menargetkan sebanyak 255 SPPG untuk mendukung Program MBG tersebut.
“Keberadaan Program MBG turut memberikan andil dalam menyerap tenaga kerja melalui dapur SPPG,” ujar dia.
Oleh karena itu, Rico Waas mengajak seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan program yang digagas pemerintah pusat tersebut.(ant)
