INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN-Fraksi Partai Hanura, PSI dan PPP (HPP) DPRD Kota Medan menilai penanganan banjir di Kota Medan belum teratasi, sehingga masyarakat selalu was-was ketika turun hujan.
“Seperti yang terjadi beberapa waktu lalu. Tingginya intensitas curah hujan menyebabkan sejumlah wilayah di Kota Medan terdampak banjir. Kondisi itu memunculkan opini di masyarakat, ternyata pembangunan drainase yang menghabiskan banyak anggaran, belum efektif menangani banjir di Kota Medan,” kata Ketua Fraksi HPP, Drs. Hendra DS.
Dari analisis dan kajian Fraksi HPP, kata Hendra, banjir di Kota Medan paling tidak disebabkan tiga faktor utama, yakni luapan air sungai, tidak terkoneksinya dairanese dengan baik dan banjir rob.
“Pemko Medan harus menangani itu secara serius ketiga hal tersebut, termasuk membuat peta area banjir dan membangun kesadaran masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah serta menjaga lingkungan. Menurut kami, inilah solusi yang harusnya dilakukan untuk menangani permasalahan banjir di Kota Medan,” ungkap Hendra.
Secara khusus, tambah Hendra, pihaknya meminta penanganan serius banjir di kawasan Sei Mati, Kecamatan Medan Labuhan. Sebab, kawasan tersebut merupakan titik akhir aliran air dari berbagai kawasan, sehingga kondisi di daerah itu menjadi sangat parah dan memprihatinkan.
“Penanganan banjir yang kami maksudkan adalah sebelum banjir, saat terjadi banjir dan pasca banjir,” ujarnya.
Diketahui, APBD Kota Medan TA 2023 yang telah disahkan mencapai Rp7,2 triliun lebih dengan rincian Pendapatan Daerah Rp7.271.065.208.056, Belanja Daerah Rp7.868.865.208.056 dan Pembiayaan Penerimaan Rp597.800.000.000.
Dari jumlah pendapatan itu, sebesar Rp1,3 triliun lebih untuk program penyelenggaraan jalan dan drainase pada Dinas Pekerjaan Umum (PU) Kota Medan. (Ki).
