Medan, Invocavit.com – Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) Sumut menggelar evaluasi pengawasan partisipatif pemilihan serentak tahun 2024. Kegiatan ini, berlangsung di Lee Polonia Hotel, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Kota Medan, Senin 20 Januari 2025.

Dalam acara ini, Bawaslu Sumut mengundang tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, perwakilan organisasi masyarakat dari berbagai kalangan, organisasi pers hingga kaum disabilitas.

Ketua Bawaslu Sumut, Aswin Diapari Lubis mengungkapkan, kegiatan ini digelar dengan tujuan meminta masukan dan evaluasi dari segi pengawasan hingga pelaksanaan tahapan Pilkada serentak tahun 2024 di Sumut.

“Di tahun 2024, kita baru selesai melaksanakan Pemilihan Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Sumut, Bupati dan Wakil Bupati serta Walikota dan Wakil Walikota di 33 Kabupaten/Kota se-Sumut,” sebut Aswin dalam kata sambutan pada acara tersebut.

Aswin menjelaskan bahwasanya, dalam evaluasi ini berguna untuk mengkoreksi untuk mengetahui kelemahan-kelemahan bagi jajaran Bawaslu Sumut hingga Bawaslu Kabupaten/Kota se-Sumut. “Saya melihat banyak kelemahan, yang kami lakukan. Baik kami selaku lembaga pengawasan,” ujarnya.

Aswin menyatakan dalam peningkatan pengawasan kedepannya, yang lebih baik lagi. Diperlukan evaluasi dan koreksi dari kalangan masyarakat dari pelaksanaan tahapan Pilkada serentak 2024, yang sudah berlalu tersebut.

“Kami jajaran Bawaslu dari Provinsi hingga Kabupaten/Kota dapat mencatat kelemahan kami. Kalau kami sendiri memandang diri kami sendiri, pastinya kami memandang wah sudah sempurna lah. Itu membuat kami tidak bisa melihat kelemahan kami. Yang bisa melihat kelemahan itu, diluar dari kami. Sehingga dari kegiatan ini, bisa diperbaiki untuk periode akan datang,” jelasnya.

Sebelumnya, Anggota Bawaslu Sumut, Suhadi Sukendar Situmorang mengungkapkan bahwa tahapan Pilkada serentak tahun 2024, hampir selesai. Kini, masuk tahapan gugatan atau Perselisihan Hasil Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (PHP-Kada) di Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) RI.

“Sekarang sedang bersengketa antara calon kepala daerah dengan KPU. Kita Bawaslu juga hadir disana, sidang di Mahkamah Konstitusi,” kata Suhadi.

Suhadi mengungkapkan Bawaslu Sumut akan mengikuti sidang gugatan hasil Pilgub Sumut, yang dilayangkan Tim Hukum calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Sumut nomor urut 2, Edy Rahmayadi-Hasan Basri di MK RI, pada Rabu 22 Januari 2025.

“Di Sumut, ada 14 Kabupaten/Kota dan 1 Provinsi, yang mengajukan PHP hasil pemilihan ke MK. Jadi, ada 15 lumayan banyak,” ujar Suhadi.

Suhadi berharap melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan ada masukan, saran serta evaluasi disampaikan para undangan yang hadir bagi Bawaslu Sumut, untuk memperbaiki diri dalam peningkatan tugas dan kinerja dalam pengawasan kedepannya.

“Pesta demokrasi berakhir, kami mengundang berbagai elemen masyarakat, untuk menghimpun seluruh masukan dari seluruh tahapan Pilkada dan penyelenggaraan pemilihan kepala daerah yang baru kita lakukan ini,” kata Suhadi.

“Kami sebagai penyelenggara pemilu, kami menganggap kami sudah baik dan sebagai publik masih banyak kekurangan Bawaslu, Pemerintah, KPU dan steakholder lainnya. Wajar publik banyak catatan dalam pelaksanaan Pilkada untuk disampaikan disini bagi bahan koreksi bagi kami kedepannya,” kata Suhadi.

Kegiatan evaluasi pengawasan partisipatif pemilihan serentak Tahun 2024, juga menghadirkan narasumber Batara Manurung dari mantan Komisioner KPU Sumut dan Anggota Bawaslu Sumut. (kcu)
