MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM –Kepala Korps Lalulintas (Kakorlantas ) Polri Irjen Pol Dr.Drs Aan Suhanan M.Si mengatakan, Polda Sumut ranking 7 tingkat kecelakaan lalulintas dari seluruh propinsi di Indonesia.
Dalam setiap tiga jam, korban meninggal dunia akibat lakalantas di Sumut 3-6 orang. Sebanyak 65 persen diantaranya laki-laki dan 45 persen usia produktif (13-20 tahun).
“Sebagai upaya mengurangi tingkat kecelakaan lalulintas, salah satu adalah kegiatan yang kita laksanakan ini yakni, Gebyar Keselamatan Gerakan 1000 Tandatangan Pencanangan Tertib di Jalan Menyambut PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024″. Ini kali kelima dilaksanakan di Indonesia dengan tuan rumah Sumatera Utara,” jelas Irjen Aan Suhanan, Sabtu (3/8) di Lapangan Astaka Jl. William Iskandar/ Pancing Medan.
Gebyar keselamatan ini dihadiri, Penjabat Gubsu A Fatoni, Kapolda Sumut Irjen Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, Dirut PT Jasa Raharja Rivan A Purwantono, sejumlah Direktur lalulintas Polda di Indonesia, para PJU Polda Sumut, Kadishub Sumut serta ribuan komunitas pecinta motor di Medan dan Sumatera Utara.
Jenderal bintang dua itu mengatakan, secara nasional tingkat kecelakaan lalulintas setiap tahun meningkat. Tahun 2022 sendiri, sebut Aan Suhanan, ada 152 ribu lebih kecelakaan lalulintas korbannya ada 27 ribu lebih meninggal dunia dan kerugian materi.
“Berangkat darisitu kita membuat program untuk mengingatkan kita betapa pentingnya keselamatan berlalulintas. Dari kecelakaan lalulintas itu ada kerugian ekonomi, kerugian materi bahkan ada potensi kemiskinan baru yang mana para korbannya tidak dapat melakukan aktivitas seperti sedia kala sehingga untuk mencari nafkah terganggu apalagi 65 persen korbanya adalah kaum pria yang menjadi tulangpunggung keluarga. Inilah potensi kemiskinan baru,” jelas Irjen Aan Suhanan.
Didampingi Pj Gubsu A Fatoni, Kapoldasu Irjen Whisnu Hermawan Februanto dan Dirut PT Jasa Raharja Rivan A Purwantono, Kakorlantas Polri itu mengatakan, salah satu tujuan diadakannya Gebyar keselamatan di Medan mengingat tingginya angka kecelakaan di Sumatera Utara sekaligus sebagai bentuk pencanangan tertib berlalu lintas di jalan dalam menyambut PON XXI Sumut-Aceh 2024.
Sebagai bentuk komitmen dalam mewujudkan tertib berlalu lintas di jalan raya, Kakorlantas, Kapolda Sumut serta Dirut PT Jasa Raharja membubuhkan tangan serta membacakan ikrar bersama mewujudkan lalu lintas jalan lebih baik lagi.
“Patuhi aturan lalulintas, hati-hati dalam berkendara, ingat keluarga. Polisi Lalulintas Sumatera Utara akan terus mengkampanyekan keselamatan berlalulintas, baik melalui media, himbauan dan penindakan,” pungkas Irjen Aan Suhanan.
MOMEN PON XXI
Dalam kesempatan itu, Penjabat Gubsu Agus Fatoni mengatakan, dikesempatan PON XXI Aceh-Sumut merupakan momen penting untuk merubah sikap berlalulintas. Mari kita tunjukkan di event PON XXI ini masyarakat Sumatera Utara bisa menjadi teladan dalam berlalulintas.

Terkait jumlah kenderaan di Sumatera Utara yang mencapai 7 juta unit namun yang bayar PKB (Pajak Kenderaan Bermotor) hanya 40 persen, Agus Fatoni mengatakan, akan memaksimalkan realisasi pendapatan, realisasi pembayaran pajak, meningkatkan kedisiplinan dalam membayar pajak.
Tahun depan, kata Pj Gubsu A Fatoni, akan ada opsion pembagian pembayaran pajak kenderaan bermotor ke daerah sehingga nantinya Kabupaten/ kota akan ikut aktif bersama-sama. Dan akan diterapkan penghapusan kenderaan bermotor yang tidak membayar pajak.
