Jakarta, INVOCAVIT.COM: Kepala Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Kapolri) Jenderal Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo, menerima audiensi dari Pengurus Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Pusat di Mabes Polri, Jalan Trunojoyo, Jakarta, Senin (27/10).
Pertemuan ini diselenggarakan dalam rangka penguatan sinergi antara Polri dan insan pers, sekaligus menjadi dukungan nyata menjelang pelaksanaan Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2026 yang rencananya akan dipusatkan di Serang, Banten.
Dalam sesi audiensi, Kapolri Listyo Sigit Prabowo menegaskan komitmen institusinya untuk mendukung penuh kerja pers yang profesional.
“Wartawan adalah mitra strategis Polri dalam menjaga Kamtibmas, sehingga sinergi perlu terus diperkuat. Apalagi PWI dan Polri berusia sama 79 tahun. Usia yang matang sehingga harus makin kuatkan sinergi,” ujar Kapolri.
7Penyelesaian Delik Pers
Listyo juga menegaskan bahwa Polri selama ini berupaya menyelesaikan delik hukum pers melalui mekanisme Dewan Pers, dan meminta jajarannya di seluruh Indonesia untuk menaati hal tersebut.
“Selama ini kami berupaya mendindaklanjuti delik hukum pers selalu melalui mekanisme ke Dewan Pers. Dan keputusan Dewan Pers kami tindak lanjuti,” tegasnya.
Kapolri secara spesifik jug menyoroti upaya perlindungan bagi jurnalis di daerah rawan.
“Kami tengah mengkaji penanda khusus bagi rekan-rekan yang bertugas di wilayah konflik, agar aparat di lapangan dapat memberikan perlindungan sesuai prosedur,” tambahnya.
Ia juga menyambut baik rencana pelatihan bersama antara Polri dan PWI untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dan sinergi kedua pihak.
Kapolri juga menyampaikan rasa senangnya atas bersatunya kembali PWI setelah konflik internal yang terjadi.
“Kami jajaran di pusat maupun daerah sempat bingung menerima undangan dengan adanya dualisme kepengurusan. Kami ikut senang sekarang sudah bersatu kembali, diharapkan ke depan PWI semakin solid dan kompak,” kata Kapolri.
Menyambut komitmen tersebut, Ketua Umum PWI, Akhmad Munir menyampaikan apresiasi dan mengharapkan konsistensi pelaksanaan kebijakan.
“Kami berterima kasih atas dukungan penuh dari Bapak Kapolri. Kami menyoroti pentingnya keseragaman implementasi nota kesepahaman antara Dewan Pers dan Polri di lapangan, terutama dalam penyelesaian sengketa pemberitaan,” kata Akhmad Munir yang juga Direktur Utama LKBN Antara itu.
Ia menambahkan bahwa PWI berharap HPN 2026 menjadi momentum untuk memperkuat persatuan pers nasional.
Audiensi strategis ini dihadiri oleh sejumlah pejabat utama Mabes Polri, antara lain Kabareskrim Polri Komjen Pol. Syahardiantono, Asisten Utama Kapolri Bidang Operasi (Astamaops) Komjen Pol Muh. Fadil Imran, Asisten SDM Kapolri Irjen Pol. Anwar, Kadiv Propam Polri Irjen Pol. Abdul Karim, Kadiv Humas Polri Irjen Pol. Sandi Nugroho, serta Wakil Irwasum Polri, Irjen Pol Merdisyam.
Dari PWI Pusat, hadir mendampingi Ketua Umum, yaitu Sekretaris Jenderal Zulmansyah Sekedang, Sekretaris Dewan Penasihat, Sasongko Tedjo, dan jajaran pengurus lainnya.
