MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM: Kapolda Sumut, Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan, angkat bicara mengenai peristiwa bentroknya personel kepolisian dengan massa aksi demo saat menyampaikan aspirasinya di DPRD Sumatera Utara, Selasa (26/8).
Ia mengungkapkan, tindakan yang dilakukan aparat kepolisian saat mengamankan aksi unjuk rasa di DPRD Sumut dikarena massa demonstran bertindak anarkis dan melampaui batas waktu yang telah ditetapkan.
“Seharusnya aksi berakhir Pukul 18.00 WIB. Tetapi seperti yang kita lihat, justru terjadi pengerusakan fasilitas umum hingga pelemparan terhadap petugas. Sehingga aparat mengambil tindakan tegas demi menjaga keamanan masyarakat,” katanya, Rabu (27/8).
Whisnu menyebutkan, Polda Sumut dan jajaran sangat menghargai kebebasan menyampaikan pendapat di muka umum. Namun perlu diingatkan harus dilakukan sesuai aturan dan tanpa melanggar hukum.
“Setiap warga negara punya hak menyampaikan pendapat. Bahkan, Polri selalu memberikan pengamanan. Tapi kalau sudah anarkis dan melanggar hukum, pasti akan kami tindak,” sebutnya.
39 ORANG DIAMANKAN, POLISI LUKA-LUKA
Untuk diketahui, aparat kepolisian mengamankan sebanyak 39 orang buntut dari aksi demo di DPRD Sumatera Utara (Sumut), Jalan Imam Bonjol, Medan, berakhir ricuh, Selasa (26/8) petang.
Puluhan orang yang diamankan itu diduga sebagai provokator maupun pelaku anarkis terdiri dari 15 mahasiswa dan 24 non-mahasiswa. Aksi yang digelar ratusan massa dengan tuntutan penghapusan tunjangan mewah anggota DPR.
Pada awalnya berjalan tertib, namun kemudian memanas setelah sekelompok massa merobohkan pagar gerbang DPRD dan melakukan pelemparan batu serta petasan ke arah petugas.
Terhadap ke 39 orang yang diamankan seluruhnya dibawa ke Direktorat (Dit) Reskrimum Polda Sumut guna dilakukan pemeriksaan sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku.
Dalam aksi demo itu, belasan anggota Polri mengalami luka-luka akibat dilempari para demontran. Ada yang harus dibawah ke rumah sakit akibat luka yang serius namun ada yang langsung mendapat penanganan medis dari Bid Dokkes Poldasu dilapangan.***
