COM-Kapolda Sumatera Utara Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, S.I.K., M.H., bersama Pejabat Utama (PJU) Polda Sumut melaksanakan kegiatan peninjauan Operasional Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) Polres Tanjungbalai di Jalan Jend. Sudirman Kota Tanjung Balai, Senin (25/8) pukul 10.00 wib.
Kunjungan Kapolda Sumut beserta rombongan di sambut oleh Kapolres Tanjungbalai AKBP Welman Feri, SIK, MIK dan PJU Serta Forkopimda Tanjungbalai.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk nyata dukungan Polda Sumut terhadap program pemerintah dalam pemenuhan gizi seimbang bagi anak-anak sekolah melalui program makan bergizi gratis. Dari dapur SPPG yang telah dioperasionalkan, ratusan porsi makanan sehat dan bergizi sudah disalurkan ke sekolah sekolah penerima manfaat.
Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto menegaskan bahwa pemenuhan gizi anak merupakan pondasi penting bagi terciptanya generasi muda yang sehat dan cerdas.
“Melalui kegiatan ini, kami ingin memastikan anak-anak kita, khususnya di lingkungan sekolah, mendapatkan asupan makanan yang sehat dan bergizi. Ini adalah bagian dari tanggung jawab sosial Polri dalam mendukung program nasional demi menciptakan generasi penerus bangsa yang unggul,” ujar Irjen Pol Whisnu
Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mencerminkan sinergi antara Bhayangkari Daerah Sumut dan jajaran Polda Sumut dalam menjalankan peran sosial kemasyarakatan, utamanya di bidang kesehatan anak dan pendidikan.
Di sela kegiatan, Kapolda Sumut dengan didampingi Kapolres Tanjungbalai AKBP Welman Feri, SIK, MIK menyerahkan secara simbolis Bingkisan kepada relawan SPPG.
SPPG Polres Tanjungbalai sendiri merupakan unit yang difokuskan untuk menyediakan layanan makanan sehat dengan standar gizi yang tepat, yang ke depannya direncanakan akan menjangkau lebih banyak sekolah dan komunitas anak-anak yang membutuhkan di wilayah Kota Tanjungbalai.(anja)
