MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Lestarikan lagu dan musik tradisional khas daerah Sumatera Utara, anggota DPD RI Dr Badikenita Sitepu SE SH.M.Si melakukan audisi yang dikemas dalam bingkai Kreatif Seni Budaya Sumatera Utara yang dibawakan vokal solo diiringi musik tradisional.
Audisi vokal solo dan musik lagu tradisional dimulai sejak Oktober 2024 lampau dan kini memasuki grandfinal yang akan diadakan di Fakultas Ilmu Seni Budaya Universitas Sumutera Utara (USU) pada Jumat (21/2).
Ketua panitia Dr Badikenita Sitepu SE SH M.Si mengatakan, pada saat mulai dilakukan pendaftaran ada sedikitnya 70 peserta yang kemudian setelah dilakukan audisi tinggal 17 peserta dan yang berhak mengikuti grandfinal hanya 14 peserta.
“Sebenarnya yang 14 peserta ini sudah juara dan telah menerima uang pembinaan dan kita mencari juara 1,2 dan 3, yang akan diadakan nantinya di Fakultas Ilmu Seni dan budaya USU pada Jumat (21/2) mendatang,” ujar anggota DPD Dapil Sumut tiga periode itu didampingi pembina vokal Sabna Sitopu S.Pd yan juga bertindak sebagai juri dalam grandfinal tersebut.
Badikenita mengatakan kejuaraan ini menampilkan berbagai multi etnis yang berada di wilayah Sumut seperti Karo, Mandailing, Pakpak Bharat, Tionghoa, Toba, Nias, Simalungun, Jawa, Aceh dan suku lainnya yang ada di Sumatera Utara.
Lebih lanjut, ia mengatakan nantinya peserta akan melakukan performa dengan menyanyikan lagu tradisional yang khas di daerah masing-masing dengan iringan musik khas.
Gunanya untuk memperkenalkan secara luas kegiatan ini dengan harapan peserta bisa menjadi bagian dari kemajuan daerah untuk memperkenalkan budaya masing-masing-masinh,” imbuhnya.
“Dalam kejuaraan itu, yang dinilai bagaimana nanti peserta menampilkan suara yang khas setiap masing-masing daerah, jadi berbeda dengan lagu daerah yang sering dibawakan pada umumnya,” kata Badikenita.
Dr Badikenita Sitepu yang juga Direktur Eksekutif Pusat Kajian Ekonomi Politik dan sosial Sumatera Utara itu menjelaskan, adapun lagu-lagu yang dibawakan seperti andung-andung dalam khas suku Toba yang juga diiringi musik tradisional.
Perempuan satu-satunya anggota DPD asal Sumatera Utara itu mengatakan, kepeduliannya mengangkat dan mempertahankan lagu khas daerah dan musik tradisional ini yang telah mulai hilang. “Katakanlah lagu khas dan musik tradisional suku Pakpak, sepertinya sudah mulai hilang. Padahal, lagu dan bahasa serta musik masing-masingnya suku harus dipertahankan dan dilestsrikan. Warna dan perbedaan merupakan khasanah keindahan bangsa Indonesia yang dibingkai dalam semboyan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” jelas Badikenita.
Ketua Umum DPP PIKI (Persatuan Inteligensia Kristen Indonesia) itu menambahkan, nantinya para peserta wajib mengenakan pakaian etnis masing-masingnya. “Saya nanti akan mengenakan pakaian adat multi etnis dari semua peserta,” ujarnya kepada wartawan, Senin (20/2) di Medan.
Dalam acara grandfinal nantinya, sambung lulusan termuda doktor ilmu ekonomi dan bisnis Universitas Indonesia (UI) Tahun 2013 itu akan dihadiri sejumlah anggota DPD RI, Pemerintah Propinsi Sumtera Utara seperti Gubernur, para kepala daerah dari suku dan etnis yang ditampilkan, para rektor universitas serta pejabat BUMN.
Di granfinal ini, sebut Alumni Fakultas ilmu ekonomi Universitas Sumatera Utara dan Hukum UKI itu juga melaunching Lembaga Kreatif Seni Budaya Sumatera Utara.
“Nanti lembaga ini kerja sama dengan lembaga budaya kretif lainnya dalam mempromosikan budaya di Sumut baik di lokal maupun internasional dengan berbagai acara kenegaraan,” kata lulusan terbaik program pendidikan Reguler Angkatan XLV 2010 Lemhanas RI itu.
Ketua Presidium kaukus Perempuan Parlemen Republik Indonesia (KPPRI) Tahun 2020-2024 itu menambahkan, sejak tiga tahun berturut-turut telah mengadakan kegiatan yang hampir sama seperti tahun 2024 mengadakan Sumatera Utara mencari bakat yang menampilkan lagu-lagu daerah, musik khas daerah masing-masing, busana khas daerah dan lain-lain.
“Kegiatan ini murni inisiatif saya yang tujuannya mengembangkan bakat dan mempertahankan etnis masing-masingnya,” pungkasnya.
Sabna Sitopu S.Pd.M.Sn menambahkan sebagai juri kegiatan musik tradisional ini mengangkat nilai-nilai budaya luhur yang hampir punah, jadi berkat kegiatan ini dapat melestarikan budaya tersebut.
“Hari ini kami angkat vokal tradisional, bisa jadi ke depan ada perlombaan musik tradisional dengan kolaborasi agar bisa memperkuat seni budaya kedaerahan masing-masing,” ucapnya.
Adapun yang menjadi juri dalam grandfinal itu, Sabna Sitopu S.Pd,M.Sn, Hubani Gulo S.Sn.M.Sn, Ersada Sembiring dan Moren Simatupang S.Pd.(jos).
