MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Dalam rangka mempersiapkan pengamanan Natal 2024 dan Tahun Baru 2025, Polda Sumatera Utara menggelar apel pengecekan kesiapan Operasi Lilin Toba 2024 pada Sabtu pagi (21/12/2024).
Apel yang dilaksanakan di lapangan KS Tubun Mapolda Sumut ini dipimpin langsung oleh Dir Lantas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Muji Ediyanto, S.H., S.I.K., M.AP., yang bertugas sebagai Kasatgas Operasi Daerah. Operasi Lilin Toba 2024 merupakan bagian dari upaya kepolisian untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik kepada masyarakat selama periode Natal dan Tahun Baru.
Dalam arahannya, Kombes Pol Muji mengingatkan pentingnya tugas mulia yang diemban oleh seluruh personel. “Kita patut bersyukur atas kesehatan dan kesempatan yang diberikan untuk menjalankan tugas ini. Operasi ini bukan hanya soal keamanan, tetapi juga tentang bagaimana kita hadir untuk melayani masyarakat yang akan merayakan Natal dan Tahun Baru dengan tenang dan nyaman,” ujarnya.
Kombes Muji juga menegaskan bahwa setiap personel harus melaksanakan tugas dengan penuh tanggung jawab sebagai wujud kepercayaan yang diberikan.
Kombes Pol Muji juga menekankan pentingnya kedisiplinan dan kehadiran sebagai bagian dari profesionalisme. “Kehadiran tepat waktu bukan hanya soal aturan, tetapi mencerminkan komitmen dan integritas kita. Saya meminta Kasatgas memastikan anggota di bawahnya bertugas dengan baik dan mematuhi prosedur. Tidak ada toleransi untuk ketidakhadiran tanpa keterangan yang jelas,” tegasnya.
Selain itu, Kombes Pol Muji menjelaskan tiga elemen utama yang menjadi fokus Operasi Lilin Toba 2024, yaitu pre-emptive, preventive, dan penegakan hukum. Langkah pre-emptive melibatkan unit seperti Timas dan Intel untuk mengantisipasi potensi gangguan keamanan. Langkah preventive mengedepankan kehadiran polisi di lapangan guna memberikan rasa aman, sedangkan penegakan hukum akan dilakukan secara tegas oleh unit reserse. Unit tambahan seperti SAR, Humas, dan Polair juga akan berperan penting dalam mendukung operasi ini.
Sebagai penutup, Kombes Pol Muji mengimbau seluruh personel untuk menjaga koordinasi yang efektif melalui media komunikasi yang telah disiapkan. “Informasi yang cepat dan akurat sangat penting untuk keberhasilan operasi ini.
