Jakarta, INVOCAVIT.COM  – Hendry Ch Bangun resmi mendaftar sebagai calon Ketua Umum Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) periode 2025-2030, Sabtu (23/8). Kehadirannya ke Gedung Dewan Pers, Kebon Sirih, Jakarta Pusat, menandai langkah penting dalam persiapan Kongres Persatuan PWI.

Hendry datang bersama Bacalon Dewan Kehormatan (DK) Sihono, mantan Ketua PWI Yogyakarta dua periode yang kini menjabat Direktur Pers Pancasila. Sejumlah tokoh PWI ikut mendampingi, di antaranya Plt Ketua DK Noeh Hatumena, Ketua PWI Kalimantan Selatan Helmi Zainal, Ketua PWI Sumatera Utara Farianda Putra Sinik, Sekjen Iqbal Irsyad dan Ketua Dewan Pakar Sayid Iskandarsyah.

Barisan dukungan semakin terlihat dengan hadirnya pengurus lain: Djunaidi Tjunti Agus, AR Lubis, Yesayas Oktavianus, Eka Putra, Jimmy S Harianto, Berman Nainggolan, Dadang Rahmat, Syahrul Munir, Berman Nainggolan, Edy Kiswanto, Herwan, Rudy Sitompul, serta pengurus PWI wilayah Bogor. Kehadiran mereka mempertegas soliditas dukungan untuk Hendry.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Hendry menyerahkan berkas persyaratan, termasuk 17 surat dukungan dari Ketua PWI provinsi. “Saya pilih angka 17 karena bertepatan dengan bulan kemerdekaan RI ke-80. Jika dijumlah, menjadi angka 8 yang bermakna baik,” ujar Hendry di hadapan panitia SC dan OC.

Hingga kini, Hendry sudah mengantongi dukungan setidaknya dari 23 provinsi. Angka ini dipandang sebagai modal kuat menuju Kongres PWI yang akan digelar pada 29-30 Agustus 2025 di BPPTIK Komdigi, Cikarang, Bekasi.

“Saya maju untuk menyatukan kembali PWI, memperkuat rekonsiliasi, dan membangun soliditas organisasi, terutama bersama Ketua PWI provinsi,” tegas Hendry dengan nada optimistis.

Berkas pendaftaran Hendry diterima Ketua SC Zulkifli Gani Otto, Ketua OC Selamet Marthen, bersama anggota panitia antara lain Raja Pane, Firdaus Komar, TB Adhi, Totok Suryanto, Marah Sakti Siregar, Mercys dan Lutfi Hakim. Momen ini menjadi langkah penting bagi Hendry untuk menjaga marwah PWI di tengah dinamika organisasi.***
