Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi memimpin langsung pelaksanaan Sertijab Wakapolda Sumut dari pejabat lama Brigjen Pol Drs. Jawari,S.H., M.H, kepada pejabat baru Kombes Pol Rony Samtana, S.I.K., M.T.C.P.
Dalam sambutannya, Kapolda Sumut mengucapkan selamat dan sukses kepada Brigjen Pol Jawari yang akan mengemban jabatan baru dan naik pangkat setingkat lebih tinggi menjadi Inspektur Jenderal Polisi.

Sementara kepada Wakapolda Sumut yang baru Kombes Pol Rony Samtana, Kapolda Sumut mengucapkan selamat bergabung kembali di keluarga besar Polda Sumut.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Kapolda Sumut berharap seluruh jajaran Polda Sumut dapat mempersiapkan diri menghadapi berbagai agenda pengamanan Nasional diantaranya Perayaan Natal dan Tahun Baru 2024, Pemilu 2024 serta berbagai agenda nasional maupun internasional.
