MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM: Musibah kebakaran terjadi di kawasan permukiman penduduk yang berlokasi di Jalan Putri Hijau, Kelurahan Kesawan, Kecamatan Medan Barat, Minggu (20/7) dini hari. Sedikitnya 25 unit rumah hangus rata dengan tanah.
Berdasarkan informasi yang didapat, api pertama kali terlihat dari salah satu rumah warga. Kondisi angin yang kencang saat terjadinya kebakaran membuat api dengan mudah merambat ke rumah lainnya hingga mengakibatkan puluhan rumah hangus terbakar.
Tim pemadam kebakaran yang menerima laporan adanya peristiwa itu pun bergerak cepat menurunkan armada mobil pemadaman. Setibanya di lokasi petugas langsung menyemprotkan air ke titik api.
Lebih kurang empat jam berjibaku akhirnya petugas dapat memadamkan kobaran api. Sementara itu warga yang menjadi korban kebakaran telah menyelamatkan diri ke tempat yang lebih aman.
“Sekira Pukul 07.00 WIB tadi api telah berhasil dipadamkan. Kita menurunkan sebanyak 11 armada mobil pemadam kebakaran,” ujar Kepala Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Medan, M Yunus.
“Untuk penyebab dari musibah kebakaran ini masih diselidiki pihak yang berwajib. Dari data yang telah dihimpun kurang lebih sebanyak 25 rumah ludes terbakar. Sedangkan kerugian yang dialami belum bisa diperkirakan,” pungkasnya.***
