MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Pemerintah Kota (Pemko) Medan awalnya ingin merobohkan Ray Cafe yang berada di Jalan Mahkamah, Kelurahan Mesjid, Kecamatan Medan Kota, Senin (9/12/2024), akhirnya membatalkan rencana tersebut.
Sebelumnya diperoleh informasi bahwa berdasarkan surat (Pemberitahuan) Pembongkaran dengan Nomor: 600.1.15.2/9487 pada hari Jum’at (6/12/2024), akan melakukan penertiban Ray Cafe. Namun didasarkan solusi persuasif yang aman, tindakan pembongkaran dibatalkan.
Menyikapi hal tersebut, Ketua DPRD Kota Medan Whong Chun Sen, yang hadir untuk mediasi terkait pembongkaran Cafe Ray yang berada di Jalan Mahkamah itu, mengapresiasi sikap persuasif yang diambil pihak Pemko Medan.

Sebelumnya, dalam mediasi yang dilakukan antara pemilik Ray Cafe dengan Satpol PP dan Dinas Perkim, Wong Chun Sen menyampaikan agar pihak Satpol PP dan Dinas Perkim harus lebih persuasif melakukan komunikasi dengan masyarakat.
“Kalau memang pihak Pemko Medan ingin melakukan komunikasi dengan masyarakat terkait izin-izin dan administrasi bangunan yang ada di Kota Medan, iya harus lebih persuasif”, kata Wong Chun Sen, seraya menyatakan apabila masyarakat ingin mengurus izin, agar dibantu dan permudah jangan malah di persulit.
Menanggapi hal itu, Yance yang merupakan Kuasa Hukum dari pemilik Ray Cafe menyampaikan bahwa pemilik kafe setuju untuk mengurus kekurangan administrasi yang dibutuhkan oleh Pemko Medan.
“Kami sepakat dan sangat mendukung jika hal ini bertujuan meningkatkan PAD Kota Medan. Namun kami sebagai masyarakat juga memohon kepada Dinas Perkim, kalau masyarakat mengurus izin, janganlah dipersulit”, pungkasnya.
Yance menambahkan, bahwasanya Ray Cafe juga taat pada Pajak Restoran, PBB dan lainnya. “Jadi klien kami ini bukan pelaku penggelapan pajak, beliau ini juga membayar iklan, membayar PBB, dan membantu Pemko Medan memperkecil angka pengangguran di Kota Medan. Klien kami ini orang yang patuh aturan. Maka dari itu terkait izin IMB jangan dipersulit, bahkan surat-suratnya pun sudah diajukan, semoga bisa ditindaklanjuti,” katanya. (kcu)
