Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM – Powerboat Toba 2025 kembali digelar mulai 12 sampai 26 Agustus yang diikuti 49 peserta dari berbagai negara. Untuk memastikan pengamanan Polda Sumatera Utara menggelar Apel Gelar Pasukan Operasi Kepolisian Kewilayahan “Powerboat Toba 2025” di Lapangan KS Tubun Mapolda Sumut, Senin (11/8/2025).
Apel dipimpin Wakapolda Sumut, Brigjen Pol Rony Samtana, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., yang mewakili Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, S.I.K., M.H.
Apel ini dihadiri sejumlah pejabat penting, antara lain Asops Kasdam I/BB, Asops Lantamal I Belawan, Kasiops Lanud Soewondo, General Manager PT PLN (Persero) UID Sumut, Kadispora Sumut, Kadishub Sumut, Kadis Pariwisata Sumut, Kadiskes Sumut, Kasatpol PP Sumut, Kepala BPBD Sumut, Kepala BMKG Sumut, serta para Pejabat Utama Polda Sumut.
Dalam amanatnya, Kapolda Sumut yang dibacakan Wakapolda menegaskan bahwa apel ini merupakan bentuk pengecekan akhir kesiapan personel, sarana prasarana, dan koordinasi lintas instansi dalam rangka pengamanan event olahraga internasional di Kabupaten Toba.
“Powerboat Toba 2025 bukan hanya ajang olahraga air kelas dunia, tetapi juga membawa dampak positif bagi pariwisata, perekonomian, dan citra Indonesia di mata dunia. Oleh karena itu, pengamanan yang optimal, profesional, dan terukur adalah sebuah keharusan,” tegasnya.
Operasi “Powerboat Toba 2025” akan berlangsung selama 15 hari, mulai 12 hingga 26 Agustus 2025, dengan dua agenda utama. Pertama, Aquabike World Championship pada 15–17 Agustus 2025 yang diikuti 49 peserta dari berbagai negara. Kedua, F1H2O World Championship pada 22–24 Agustus 2025 yang diikuti 10 tim internasional, disertai Pesta Rakyat Toba.
Untuk mendukung pengamanan, Polda Sumut mengerahkan 1.110 personel, terdiri atas 771 personel Polda Sumut, 207 personel Polres Toba, dan 132 personel dari instansi terkait. Pengamanan tidak hanya di arena lomba, tetapi juga mencakup bandara internasional, hotel tempat menginap atlet dan official, hingga lokasi strategis lain.
Wakapolda Sumut menekankan beberapa poin penting bagi personel, di antaranya melaksanakan pengamanan secara profesional dan humanis, melakukan deteksi dini terhadap potensi gangguan, membangun sinergi dengan seluruh stakeholder, serta menjaga kesehatan fisik dan mental.
