1. Penurunan Jumlah Kecelakaan
Jumlah kecelakaan lalu lintas pada Operasi Lilin Toba 2024 tercatat 130 kasus, turun hingga 42,2 persen dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang mencapai 225 kasus. Ini menjadi bukti bahwa pengawasan yang diperketat mampu meminimalkan risiko insiden di jalan raya.
2. Korban Meninggal Dunia Menurun Tajam
Korban meninggal dunia akibat kecelakaan juga mengalami penurunan signifikan, dari 75 orang pada 2023 menjadi 31 orang tahun ini. Penurunan ini menunjukkan keberhasilan langkah preventif yang dilakukan polisi untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan fatal.
3. Luka Berat dan Luka Ringan Berkurang
Korban luka berat turun dari 79 menjadi 51 orang, sementara korban luka ringan berkurang dari 225 menjadi 131 orang. Penurunan ini merupakan hasil dari edukasi keselamatan yang menyasar langsung pengguna jalan.
4. Kerugian Materi Menurun
Kerugian materi akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas juga lebih rendah dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Tahun ini tercatat Rp563,95 juta, turun dari Rp691,25 juta pada 2023.
5. Masivnya Sosialisasi
Upaya masif dilakukan melalui 30.224 kegiatan penyuluhan keselamatan lalu lintas serta penyebaran 47.186 diberbagai media informasi, seperti spanduk, billboard, leflet, brosur dan pamlet. Langkah ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran pengguna jalan terhadap pentingnya keamanan, keselamatan dan ketertiban berlalu lintas.
