INVOCAVIT.COM, JAKARTA- Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) menarik 46 kosmetik asal luar negeri dari peredaran.
Penarikan tersebut merupakan tindak lanjut dari temuan berdasarkan laporan beberapa otoritas pengawas obat dan makanan negara lain.
Deputi Bidang Pengawasan Obat Tradisional, Suplemen Kesehatan, dan Kosmetik BPOM Reri Indriani mengungkapkan, sebanyak 46 kosmetik mengandung bahan dilarang atau cemaran mikroba.
Selain itu, beberapa produk yang ditarik dari peredaran juga merupakan kosmetik palsu.
“Semua produk yang dilaporkan melalui mekanisme laporan dari otoritas pengawas obat dan makanan negara lain tersebut merupakan produk yang tidak terdaftar di BPOM,” kata Reri kepada Kompas.com, Sabtu (15/10/2022).
BPOM juga turut memerintahkan pengimpor kosmetik dengan kandungan dilarang atau berbahaya agar melakukan penarikan produk dari peredaran untuk dimusnahkan.
“BPOM kembali menegaskan agar pelaku usaha menjalankan usahanya sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan perundangan-undangan,” tutur Reri.
Sementara bagi masyarakat, Reri mengimbau agar selalu cek KLIK, yakni Kemasan, Label, Izin Edar, dan Kedaluwarsa.
Masyarakat juga diimbau lebih waspada dan tidak menggunakan produk-produk yang berada dalam daftar.
