Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM: Setelah melalui proses yang panjang, akhirnya penyidik Direktorat (Dit) Reskrimum Polda Sumut menetapkan Megawati Zebua anggota DPRD Sumut sebagai tersangka penganiayaan pramugari Wings Air.
“Penetapan tersangka terhadap MZ setelah penyidik Subdit Renakta Dit Reskrimum Polda Sumut melakukan gelar perkara,” ujar Kasubbid Penmas Polda Sumut, AKBP Siti Rohani, Kamis (20/11).
Ia mengatakan, anggota DPRD Sumut itu ditetapkan sebagai tersangka karena melakukan tindak pidana penganiayaan terhadap seorang pramugari Lidya Christine saat berada di dalam pesawat pada beberapa waktu lalu.
“Untuk berkas perkaranya penyidik telah melimpahkannya BAP ke Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) tahap I,” katanya.
Siti menegaskan, bahwa penanganan kasus penganiaya itu dilakukan secara profesional dan sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku.
Dijelaskan, sebelumnya penyidik sempat melakukan upaya mediasi sesuai permintaan terlapor Megawati Zebua. Namun, mediasi itu gagal mencapai kesepakatan.
Setelah itu, penyidik telah melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap terlapor.
“Dikarenakan proses mediasi yang digelar gagal mencapai kesepakatan antar kedua belah pihak sehingga penyidik melanjutkan proses penyelidikan,” pungkasnya.
Sebelumnya, setelah kasus ini viral di media sosial, Megawati Zebua membantah tuduhan melakukan penganiayaan. Dia mengaku membantu seorang penumpang yang sudah lanjut usia sehingga sempat terjadi perdebatan dengan pramugari dan tidak ada melakukan penganiayaan.(jos)
