MADINA, INVOCAVIT. COM – Tim Satgas ladang ganja Polda Sumut menemukan ladang ganja di kawasan Pengunungan Tor Sihite, Desa Rao Rao Penjaringan, Kecamatan Tambangan, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal, Rabu (15/5).
Kapolda Sumut, Irjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi, mengatakan penemuan ladang ganja itu bekerja sama dengan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) memanfaatkan data setelit penginderaan jauh untuk memantau keberadaan ladang ganja di Kabupaten Madina.
“Penemuan ladang ganja ini hasil dari pelaksanaan Operasi Antik Toba 2024 yang digelar secara tertutup dengan memanfaatkan kecanggihan teknologi,” katanya, Kamis (16/5).
Agung mengungkapkan, pemanfaatan teknologi canggih bertujuan membantu kerja polisi dalam mengidentifikasi setiap tanaman termasuk tanaman yang berada di area pengunungan.
“Dulu kita bekerja secara manual dalam mengungkap penemuan ladang ganja di Kabupaten Madina ini. Tetapi berkembangnya zaman kehadiran teknologi canggih sangat membantu menemukan ladang ganja yang sangat luas,” ungkapnya.
Mantan Asops Kapolri ini pun menyampaikan selama 16 hari digelarnya Operasi Antik Toba 2024 mulai 1-16 Mei 2024 telah diamankan sebanyak 537 tersangka terdiri dari jaringan, bandar maupun pengedar narkoba.
“Polda Sumut dan jajaran tidak akan pernah berhenti dan setiap harinya terus bekerja melakukan perburuan terhadap para jaringan narkoba di Sumatera Utara,” ujarnya seraya menegaskan dengan intensnya penindakan pemberantasan narkoba berdampak menurunnya angka kejahatan.
“Narkoba menjadi faktor utama terjadinya kejahatan. Oleh karena itu Polda Sumut dan jajaran tidak pernsh berhenti melakukan penindakan sebab narkoba menjadi musuh kita bersama,” pungkasnya.***
