INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN- Dua siswi MAN 2 Model Medan atas nama Khaila Nazwa Syahbani 12 IPA 6 berhasil meraih prestasi Juara I pada ajang Duta Muda Sumatera Utara disusul berikutnya siswi MAN 2 atas nama Icha Khairunnisa 11 IPA 1 berhasil meraih prestasi Duta Best Catwalk.
Event itu dilaksanakan oleh Yayasan Duta Muda Indonesia Best Manangemant Hero pada 20 Januari s/d 22 Januari 2023 di Balai Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara.
WKM Humas MAN 2 Model Medan Dra. Hj. Misbah Suaidah, S.Pd mengatakan perlombaan Duta Muda Sumatera Utara diikuti oleh 150 orang peserta se-Sumatera Utara, kemudian disisihkan menjadi 91 peserta.
Dari 91 peserta diseleksi kembali melalui tahap wawancara, pada seleksi tahap wawancara hanya 41 peserta yang lolos ke seleksi grandfinal, dari 41 peserta alhamdulillah dua siswi MAN 2 meraih prestasi Juara 1 setelah unggul dari Duta Lingkungan RU 1 Angela Marici Sinaga asal Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Unimed dan Duta Pariwisata RU 2nd Aisyah Fania asal Pendidikan Biologi Unimed, selanjutnya disusul oleh Icha Khairunnisa asal MAN 2 Model Medan sebagai Duta Best Catwalk.
“Alhamdulillah siswi MAN 2 yang meraih Juara I Khaila Nazwa Syahbani kelas 12 IPA 6 memiliki kesempatan untuk menjadi perwakilan dari Sumatera Utara melanjutkan pertandingan di Pemilihan Duta Muda Tingkat Nasional tahun 2023,” ucap Misbah.
Sementara itu, Kepala MAN 2 Model Medan Wuri Tamtama Abdi, S.Pdi, M.Pd mengucapkan selamat atas prestasi yang telah diraih dua siswi MAN 2 Kayla dan Icha.
” Prestasi yang diraih oleh kedua siswi MAN 2 diharapkan menjadi motivasi bagi siswa MAN 2 yang lain, agar terus dan dapat mengukir prestasi, dalam ruang lingkup yang besar, MAN 2 berharap prestasi ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pendidikan yang baik bagi Sumatera Utara,” ujar Wuri.
