INVOCAVIT.COM, PAPUA – Sersan Satu (Sertu) Roy Bertus Simbolon anggota TNI dari Satgas PR 305/Tengkorak gugur saat kontak senjata dengan Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB).
Anak dari pasangan Jimat Hugo Simbolon dan Tiomas M. Naibaho ini kontak tembak dengan KKB di Kampung Titigi, Intan Jaya, Pegunungan Tengah pada Minggu (9/4/2023).
Kontak tembak itu terjadi saat prajurit Sertu Roybertus Simbolon sedang bertugas pengamanan di Kampung Titigi.
“Saat yang bersangkutan lagi pengamanan, Sertu Roybertus Simbolon langsung dilarikan ke Puskesmas, namun pada pukul 19.00 WIT Roybertus tidak tertolong dan dinyatakan meninggal,” kata Danrem 173/PVB, Brigjen Sri Widodo, Minggu (9/4/2023).
Saat ini jenazah Sertu Roybertus Simbolon kelahiran Sitao-tao Samosir itu masih berada di Intan Jaya, kemudian hari Senin (hari ini) akan di evakuasi ke Timika.
“Besok jenazah Sertu Roybertus akan dikirim ke Timika, kemudian akan diberangkatkan dari Timika ke kampung halamannya,” tuturnya.
Diketahui, kampung halaman Sertu Roybertus Simbolon berada di Desa Sitao-tao, Kecamatan Pangururan, Kabupaten Samosir, Sumatera Utara. (uni)
