Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM: Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Khusus TPI Medan, Sumatera Utara, melakukan deportasi warga negara asing (WNA) asal Kenya, perempuan berinisial MNM karena melanggar izin tinggal.
“Warga Kenya tersebut melanggar ketentuan izin tinggal setelah terbukti melakukan overstay selama 315 hari sejak masa berlaku izin tinggal kunjungan selama 60 hari berakhir pada 27 Oktober 2024,” ujar Kepala Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Khusus TPI Medan Uray Avian di Medan, Senin (22/9).
Uray menjelaskan MNM seorang biarawati Katolik dari salah satu kongregasi yang ada di Medan untuk melaksanakan pelayanan pastoral di Gereja Katolik di daerah Helvetia Medan.
Menurut dia, MNM mengaku lalai dan abai terhadap izin karena mengira sudah diperpanjang sampai dengan dua tahun hingga 2026.
Berdasarkan pemeriksaan, tindakan MNM telah melanggar Pasal 78 ayat (3) Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2011 tentang Keimigrasian, sehingga diputuskan untuk dikenai tindakan administratif keimigrasian berupa deportasi sekaligus penangkalan.
“Kami akan menindak tegas setiap pelanggaran izin tinggal. Jika ada yang melanggar, maka konsekuensi adalah tindakan administratif keimigrasian termasuk deportasi,” tutur dia.
Ia mengatakan langkah itu juga sejalan dengan visi besar 13 akselerasi Menteri Imigrasi dan Pemasyarakatan. Melalui program akselerasi, pihaknya tidak hanya berfokus pada penegakan hukum.
“Tapi juga meningkatkan pelayanan publik berbasis digital, memperkuat pengawasan orang asing, pemberantasan tindak pidana perdagangan orang, hingga modernisasi sarana dan prasarana keimigrasian,” ujarnya.
Deportasi dilakukan dengan pengawalan petugas, MNM diberangkatkan melalui Bandara Internasional Kualanamu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumut.(ant).
