Rektor USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si dan Ketua Forum Penyelamat USU, Taufik Umar Dani Harahap, S.H.(ist).
Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM – Forum Penyelamat Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) melayangkan somasi terbuka kepada Majelis Wali Amanat, Dewan Guru Besar, Senat Akademik, serta Panitia Penjaringan dan Pemilihan Rektor USU periode 2026–2031.
Somasi bernomor 002/FP-USU/IX/2025 tersebut berisi desakan agar Rektor Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si segera dinonaktifkan dari jabatannya menyusul pemanggilan dirinya oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) dalam kasus dugaan korupsi proyek jalan di Sumatera Utara.
Forum menilai pemanggilan Rektor USU oleh KPK, meski masih sebatas saksi, telah mengguncang sendi kepercayaan publik terhadap dunia akademik di Sumut. “Nama besar kampus yang semestinya identik dengan integritas dan keilmuan kini terseret dalam pusaran isu korupsi. Ini bukan lagi urusan personal, melainkan menyangkut marwah institusi,” ungkap Forum Penyelamat USU dalam suratnya.
Dalam somasi itu, Forum Penyelamat USU mengajukan 6 poin tuntutan :
1. USU diminta segera menggelar klarifikasi terbuka terhadap Rektor di hadapan Majelis Wali Amanat, Senat Akademik, dan Dewan Guru Besar.
2. Menonaktifkan sementara Rektor Muryanto Amin demi menjaga marwah akademik hingga kasus hukum tuntas.
3. Membatalkan pencalonan Muryanto Amin sebagai kandidat Rektor USU periode 2026–2031.
4. Melakukan audit khusus atas pelaksanaan anggaran dan kerja sama USU lima tahun terakhir, khususnya yang terkait Pemprov Sumut dan Pemko Medan.
5. Membuka akses informasi publik terkait tata kelola dana sesuai amanat UU Keterbukaan Informasi Publik.
6. Mengingatkan seluruh sivitas akademika untuk tidak melakukan obstruction of justice dan mendukung penuh penegakan hukum.
Forum Penyelamat USU memberi waktu tiga hari kalender sejak somasi diterima untuk memenuhi tuntutan tersebut. Apabila tidak dipenuhi, mereka mengancam menempuh jalur hukum baik pidana maupun perdata, termasuk melapor resmi ke kepolisian, kejaksaan, hingga menggugat ke pengadilan.
“Somasi ini bukan untuk menjatuhkan individu, melainkan demi menyelamatkan integritas Universitas Sumatera Utara sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi kebanggaan bangsa,” tulis forum yang beralamat di Jalan Sutomo, Medan Timur.
Somasi itu ditandatangani oleh Ketua Forum Penyelamat USU, Adv. M. Taufik Umar Dani Harahap, S.H., di Medan pada 4 September 2025. Hingga berita ini diterbitkan, pihak Rektor USU maupun jajaran pimpinan universitas belum memberikan pernyataan resmi terkait somasi terbuka tersebut. ***
