MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Calon Wali Kota Medan, Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas (Rico Waas),memastikan akan mencari solusi terkait permasalahan yang terjadi di pasar tradisional jika terpilih menjadi Wali Kota Medan.

Menurut Rico, ada beberapa persoalan yang dilihatnya setelah mengunjungi sejumlah pasar tradisional di Kota Medan. Di antaranya terkait daya jual-beli, infrastruktur dan pedagang yang memilih berjualan di luar pasar.

“Saat ini banyak pedagang yang memilih jualan di luar pasar karena di dalam kurang ramai. Hal ini yang juga membuat daya jual-beli di dalam pasar menjadi menurun,” kata Rico kepada wartawan usaih meninjau Pasar Desa Lalang, di Jalan Kelambir V, Kecamatan Medan Sunggal, Minggu (6/10/2024).

Atas dasar itu, lanjut Rico, pemerintah ke depan akan mencarikan solusi agar bisa meningkatkan kembali daya beli masyarakat ke pasar. Salah satu caranya pemerintah harus mampu untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat.

“Kalau penghasilan meningkat maka masyarakat akan berbelanja ke pasar. Jika itu berjalan, maka ekonomi bisa berputar di pasar dan pedagangnya akan sejahtera,” ujar pasangan nomor urut 1 itu.

Pasangan Rico-Zaki juga akan mencari solusi terkait permasalahan pedagang yang berjualan di luar pasar tradisional. Menurut Rico persoalan ini penting diperhatikan karena berdampak dengan kesenjangan antara pedagang dan memperburuk kondisi pasar.

“Bertambahnya pedagang yang berjualan di luar pasar akan membuat pasar menjadi semrawut. Jalannya cepat rusak, kotor dan becek. Dan hal ini juga yang menjadi faktor pelanggan kurang nyaman ke pasar,” ujarnya.

“Kalau mau meningkatkan kualitas pasar, tentu kita harus merapikan sistem penjualan sampai dengan infrastrukturnya. Jika terpilih, pasangan Rico-Zaki akan mencari solusi untuk membuat daya beli meningkat terlebih dahulu. Kemudian, baru mencari solusi agar pedagang bisa jualan bersama-sama di pasar tradisional,” pungkas Rico.

Pantauan di lokasi, usai menyapa dan menyerap aspirasi pedagang, Rico Waas mendengarkan deklarasi dukungan relawan Sahabat Rico-Zaki (Saraz). Setelah itu Rico dan relawan sarapan bersama di depan Pasar Desa Lalang. (mp)
