MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Direktorat (Dit) Lalu Lintas Polda Sumut terus melakukan penataan sarana prasarana jalan dalam mempersiapkan serta menyukseskan Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON)XXI Sumut-Aceh 2024.
Penataan sarana dan prasarana jalan itu karena Cabang Olahraga (Cabor) Balapan Sepeda PON 2024 bakal melintasi empat kabupaten/kota yakni Kabupaten Serdangbedagai (start), Kota Tebing tinggi, Kota Pematangsiantar dan Kabupaten Simalungun/Parapat (finish).
Direktur Lalu Lintas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Muji Ediyanto, mengatakan personel akan melakukan penertiban terhadap para pedagang kaki lima (PKL) serta parkir liar yang menjadi rute balapan sepeda pada PON 2024.
“Penertiban terhadap para PKL serta parkir liar menjadi prioritas jalur atlet dalam balapan sepeda tersebut,” katanya, Rabu (31/7).
Muji menerangkan, penataan yang dilakukan itu berdasarkan rekomendasi dari Forum LLAJ Provinsi Sumut karena ada 10 kota/kabupaten sebagai tuan rumah PON XXI yang menjadi obyek penataan serta penertiban lalu lintas.
“Ada 4 kabupaten sebagai tuan rumah cabor sepeda sehingga dilakukan penertiban dan penataan sepanjang jalan yang menjadi arena balapan. Forum LLAJ juga akan menertibkan parkir liar, PKL, pool bus di 10 kota dan kabupaten,” terangnya.
“Di sepanjang Jalan Jamin Ginting juga dilakukan penataan dan penertiban dalam mencegah kemacetan arus lalu lintas,” terang Muji seraya menuturkan Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Sumut memastikan selama berlangsungnya PON 2024 tidak ada masyarakat yang ugal-ugalan di jalan raya.
“Ditlantas Polda Sumut dan jajaran terus menggelar rapat koordinasi sehingga pelaksanaan PON 2024 di Sumut berjalan aman. Tidak ada terjadi kecelakaan lalu lintas serta memastikan sarana dan prasarana jalan bisa termanfaatkan dengan baik,” pungkasnya.***
