Polda Sumut Gelar Ibadah Malam Tahun Baru dan Doa Bersama untuk Korban Bencana, Rabu (31/12) malam.(ist)
MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM: Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara menggelar Ibadah Malam Tahun Baru 2026 bagi umat Kristiani di Gereja Oikumene Polda Sumut, Rabu malam (31/12/2025).
Ibadah berlangsung khidmat sebagai bentuk ungkapan syukur sekaligus refleksi rohani dalam menyongsong Tahun Baru 2026.
Ibadah tersebut dihadiri oleh Kapolda Sumatera Utara Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, S.I.K., M.H., para Pejabat Utama Polda Sumut, serta pengurus dan anggota Bhayangkari.
Kehadiran pimpinan dan keluarga besar Polri mencerminkan komitmen Polda Sumut dalam membangun keseimbangan antara pelaksanaan tugas kepolisian dan pembinaan mental spiritual personel.
Firman Tuhan yang diambil dari Yeremia 17:7–8 mengajak seluruh jemaat untuk senantiasa mengandalkan Tuhan dalam setiap aspek kehidupan dan pengabdian, agar tetap kuat, teguh, dan berbuah meski menghadapi berbagai tantangan.
Selain sebagai momentum pergantian tahun, ibadah malam tahun baru ini juga dimanfaatkan untuk mendoakan saudara-saudara yang terdampak bencana alam di sejumlah wilayah.
Doa bersama dipanjatkan agar para korban diberikan kekuatan, penghiburan, serta pemulihan, dan seluruh proses penanganan bencana dapat berjalan dengan baik.
Usai ibadah, Kepala Bidang Humas Polda Sumut Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ibadah ini menjadi sarana memperkuat iman sekaligus menumbuhkan empati kemanusiaan di tengah situasi yang dihadapi masyarakat.
“Ibadah ini diharapkan mampu memberikan ketenangan batin serta semangat baru bagi personel dan keluarga besar Polri dalam mengawali Tahun 2026”. Ujar Kabid Humas.
Suasana ibadah berlangsung penuh kekhusyukan, diwarnai doa, pujian, dan perenungan iman. Pergantian tahun dimaknai sebagai ajakan untuk memperbarui komitmen spiritual, meningkatkan integritas, serta meneguhkan pengabdian yang tulus, humanis, dan berorientasi pada pelayanan kepada masyarakat.
Melalui kegiatan ini, Polda Sumut menegaskan komitmennya dalam menjunjung tinggi nilai toleransi antar umat beragama serta kepedulian sosial, sebagai bagian dari upaya mewujudkan Polri yang Presisi dan dicintai masyarakat.**
