TAPUT, INVOCAVIT.COM – Ketua Dewan Ekonomi Nasional RI Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan menghadiri Sinode Godang (SG) ke 67 HKBP di Seminari Sipoholon, Kab Tapanuli Utara, Selasa (2/12).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Menko Marpes era presiden Joko Widodo itu memberikan pesan tegas pada pemilihan pucuk pimpinan atau Ephorus HKBP.
Luhut meminta agar pemilihan Ephorus HKBP ini menghindari kecenderungan seperti Pilkada karena itu adalah dosa besar.
Pria yang menjabat sebagai Ketua Dewan Ekonomi Nasional RI ini menyerukan bahwa dirinya berharap Ephorus terpilih mempunyai tanggung jawab meningkatkan spritualitas dari jemaat HKBP yang berjumlah 5-6 juta orang.
Luhut juga berpesan agar HKBP harus menjadi terang bagi dunia, menjadi Gereja yang melayani umat dengan kasih dan menjadi saksi Kristus di tengah Bangsa Indonesia.
Pesan terakhirnya, Luhut meminta agar pemilihan Ephorus di masa mendatang tidak dilakukan secara voting lagi tetapi manjomput na sinurat.
