Hadiri Ibadah Syukuran Awal Tahun, Pj Gubernur Sumut Ajak Keluarga Besar HKBP Sukseskan Pemilu 2024

TARUTUNG, INVOCAVIT.COM –  Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Hassanudin mengajak Keluarga Besar Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) ikut menyukseskan pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024, diantaranya dengan berpartisipasi hadir ke Tempat Pemungutan Suara (TPS) pada hari pemungutan suara 14 Februari 2024.

 

Hal ini disampaikan Pj Gubernur Hassanudin saat menghadiri Ibadah Syukuran Awal Tahun 2024 Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) di Rumah Dinas Ephorus Komplek Kantor Pusat HKBP, Pearaja Tarutung, Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara (Taput), pada Jumat (5/1/2024).

 

“Saya berharap peran Bapak/Ibu pendeta mengajak umat HKBP untuk menciptakan Pemilu damai, kita jadikan pesta rakyat untuk adu ide, gagasan dan program. Bukan ajang kontestasi yang bisa mencederai antara anak bangsa,” ujar Hassanudin.

 

Pj Gubernur mengatakan, Indonesia telah melakukan Pemilu sebanyak 12 kali dan terus mengalami kenaikan indeks demokrasi. Untuk tahun 2022, indeks demokrasi Sumut sudah mencapai 79,53 %. Namun demokrasi ini belum menjadi demokrasi yang paripurna.

 

“Masih ada beberapa indikator yang perlu diperkuat, salah satunya partisipasi masyarakat untuk ke TPS masih perlu ditingkatkan. Ini harus terus kita sosialisasikan, kita harus bersatu, kalau kita bersatu maka kemajuan Indonesia, khususnya Sumut akan mudah diraih,” ujarnya.

 

Hassanudin juga menyampaikan bahwa Pemprov Sumut sangat mendukung kegiatan keagamaan untuk keharmonisan, kerukunan dan kedamaian di Sumut. Namun masih ada berbagai program untuk kesuksesan pembangunan di Sumut, yang perlu dukungan semua pihak terutama lembaga keagamaan.

 

“Kita (Pemprov Sumut) mengajak gereja-gereja, khususnya HBKP untuk bekerja sama. Kita tahu HKBP memiliki rumah sakit, lembaga pendidikan, serta adanya program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Jadi Pemprov Sumut siap bekerja sama dengan HKBP untuk mengurangi kemiskinan dan mendorong pembangunan yang semakin inklusif,” harap Pj Gubernur Hassanudin.

 

Karena itu, Pj Gubernur berharap, melalui HKBP bisa berperan membawa keadilan, memperjuangkan kesetaraan untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat.

 

“Gereja tentu memiliki tanggung jawab kepada kepentingan masyarakat, merespon kebutuhan masyarakat. Tidak saja dari sisi kerohanian tapi juga dari sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat,” ungkapnya.

 

Ephorus HKBP Robinson Butar-butar mengatakan sungguh bersuka cita atas kehadiran Pj Gubernur dan Wakapolda Sumut di ibadah syukuran awal tahun HKBP. “Walaupun banyak pekerjaan beliau, tetapi bisa hadir, kami merasa terberkati. Tetaplah menjadi Bapak bagi kami, yang menyayangi dan mengayomi masyarakat Sumut,” ujarnya.

 

Terkait apa yang disampaikan Pj Gubernur Hassanudin, tentang berbagai kendala dan permasalahan serta harapan, Pendeta menyampaikan siap bekerja sama agar Sumut semakin maju dan provinsi terbaik di Indonesia.

 

Diakhir kegiatan, Pj Gubernur dan Wakapolda Sumut dipakaikan ulos sebagai ungkapan tanda kasih sayang dan doa oleh Ephorus HKBP Robinson Butar-butar.
