MEDAN, INVOCAVIT. COM – Operasi Keselamatan Toba-2025 yang digelar oleh Polda Sumut dan Satwil Jajaran memasuki hari ke-8 dengan hasil yang signifikan dalam menciptakan keamanan, keselamatan, ketertiban, dan kelancaran lalu lintas (17/2/2025).

Dalam operasi ini, kepolisian telah melaksanakan berbagai upaya preemtif dan preventif guna menekan angka kecelakaan serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap aturan berlalu lintas. Mulai dari kegiatan edukasi, imbauan, hingga pengawasan telah dilakukan terhadap pengendara, kendaraan, jalan, dan lingkungan demi terciptanya kondisi lalu lintas yang lebih tertib dan aman.

Plt. Kabid Humas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Yudhi Surya Markus Pinem, S.I.K., M.H., mengungkapkan bahwa pendekatan preemtif menjadi fokus utama dalam operasi ini. “Kami bersama instansi terkait telah melaksanakan lebih dari 8.000 kegiatan sosialisasi kepada pengusaha transportasi, terminal, dan masyarakat luas. Berbagai media edukasi juga telah disebarkan, termasuk brosur, pamflet, dan video di media sosial untuk meningkatkan kesadaran berlalu lintas,” ujarnya.

Selain itu, kepolisian juga terus memberikan pembinaan langsung kepada asosiasi pengusaha angkutan terkait pembatasan operasional kendaraan sumbu tiga ke atas serta larangan penggunaan travel gelap berpelat hitam yang kerap menyalahi aturan.

Tak hanya itu, langkah preventif juga ditingkatkan dengan lebih dari 2.600 kegiatan yang menyasar langsung para pengemudi, baik di perusahaan otobus, pesantren, maupun universitas. Kepolisian juga aktif melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan, tes alkohol, dan narkoba terhadap pengemudi angkutan umum guna memastikan keamanan perjalanan.

“Kami juga terus melaksanakan ramp check kendaraan bersama stakeholder terkait di terminal dan perusahaan otobus, memastikan aspek keselamatan seperti ban, lampu, sabuk pengaman, dan alat pemadam tersedia dengan baik,” tambah Kombes Pol Yudhi.

Selain itu, lebih dari 500 kegiatan perbaikan dan peningkatan fasilitas jalan telah dilakukan untuk meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan di titik rawan.

Polda Sumut juga telah melakukan penegakan hukum terhadap 117 kasus pelanggaran lalu lintas, termasuk penggunaan klakson telolet pada bus, kendaraan Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL), serta travel gelap.

Selain itu, sebanyak 3.002 kasus pelanggaran tercatat dalam data penindakan, yang terdiri dari tilang elektronik ETLE statis dan mobile, tilang manual, serta teguran langsung kepada pelanggar.

Kombes Pol Yudhi menegaskan bahwa Operasi Keselamatan Toba-2025 akan terus dioptimalkan demi mewujudkan lalu lintas yang lebih aman dan tertib di wilayah Sumatera Utara. “Kami mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam menciptakan budaya berlalu lintas yang lebih baik.
