Kegiatan apel yang digelar di halaman sekolah Al-Wahsliyah Jl. Jend Sudirman Kel. Gading Kec. Datuk Bandar Kota Tanjungbalai dihadiri oleh Walikota Tanjungbalai Mahyaruddin Salim Batubara, S.E., M.A.P , Kapolres Tanjungbalai AKBP Welman Feri, S.I.K., M.I.K, Forkopimda, Tokoh Agama, Tokoh Masyarakat dan para santri Yayasan Al-Washliyah Gading Kota Tanjungbalai.
Apel peringatan hari Santri 2025 ini mengusung tema “Mengawal Indonesia Merdeka, Menuju Peradaban Dunia.” Hari Santri yang diperingati setiap 22 Oktober setiap tahunnya adalah momentum untuk mengenang para santri yang telah memperjuangkan dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan
Kapolres Tanjungbalai AKBP Welman Feri menyampaikan bahwa kehadiran Polres Tanjungbalai dalam kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk dukungan terhadap semangat para santri dalam menjaga nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan persatuan.
“Peringatan Hari Santri ini bukan hanya momentum seremonial, tetapi juga pengingat bagi kita semua untuk terus meneladani semangat perjuangan para santri dalam mengawal kemerdekaan dan menjaga keutuhan NKRI,” ungkapnya.
