Tim Komisi Percepatan Reformasi Polri memberi perhatian serius kasus dugaan pemerasan yang dilakukan oknum Polda Sumut kepada rekan seprofesinya.
Anggota Komisi Percepatan Reformasi Polri, Mahfud MD didampingi Jenderal Pol (HOR) Purn Ahmad Dofiri mengatakan itu kepada wartawan usai menggelar diskusi di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Jumat (12/12/2025).
Dia menyebut, praktik dugaan pemerasan itu terjadi di beberapa tempat itu dan dengan nilai beragam.
“Ada di hotel, dimintai uang keamanan. Itu bikin pajak-pajak sendiri tidak boleh, semua sudah ditangkap, dan ditahan,” sebut mantan Menkopolhukam tersebut.
Mahfud MD menuturkan, proses hukum terhadap oknum yang diduga melakukan pemerasan itu akan dilaksanakan secara transparan.
“Kita akan sampaikan secara terbuka apa yang dilakukan oleh oknum-oknum Polri,” tegasnya.
Diharapkan, Polri dapat samakin baik karena seluruh rakyat Indonesia membutuhkannya.
“Tapi, kita berharap karena kita semua cinta Polri, semuanya butuh Polri, itu tidak boleh juga secara sepihak,” pungkasnya.
Hadir dalam diskusi itu, Wakapolda Sumut, Brigjen Pol Rony Samtana, dosen, praktisi hukum, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama dan lainnya.
Sebelumnya, Mahfud MD mengatakan, tim Komisi Percepatan Reformasi Polri mendapat hal-hal baru tentang penguatan institusi Polri dari berbagai elemen masyarakat di Sumatera Utara.
“Hari ini Tim Percepatan Reformasi Polri bersama pemangku kepentingan menggelar diskusi demi perbaikan Polri yang lebih baik. Kami mendapat masukan hal-hal baru untuk penguatan institusi Polri dari masyarakat,” katanya kepada awak media.
Seperti diketahui, praktik dugaan pemerasan dilakukan oknum Bid Propam Polda Sumut terhadap sejumlah rekan seprofesi di Direktorat (Dit) Reserse Narkoba dan Polrestabes Medan sempat mencuat ke publik setelah viral di media sosial.
Bahkan, selain perwira pertama Iptu AS, praktik dugaan pemerasan itu sempat menyeret nama Kabid Propam Polda Sumut, Kombes Julihan Muntaha dan Kasubbid Paminal Kompol Chandra.
Kasus dugaan pemerasan itupun ditangani Divisi Propam Mabes Polri dengan memeriksa ketiga perwira tersebut.
