Satu unit bus ALS mengalami kecelakaan tunggal di Jalan Lintas Sumatera, Desa Aek Badak Jae, Kecamatan Sayur Matinggi, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel), Jumat (28/10/2022) sekira pukul 05.05 WIB.
Akibatnya, seorang siswa pesantren berinisial MB (14), warga Bahorok, Kabupaten Langkat meninggal dunia, sedangkan 7 penumpang lainnya terluka.
“Sopir bus sudah diamankan dan dimintai keterangan,” kata Kabid Humas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, Jumat (28/10/2022).
Dijelaskannya, bus ALS dengan nomor polisi BK 7621 DP itu membawa penumpang 36 orang. Bus bernomor pintu 01 dikemudikan oleh Saleh.
“Bus itu berangkat dari Medan tujuan Panyabungan (Kabupaten Madina),” jelas Hadi.
Kata Hadi, berdasarkan keterangan saksi yang merupakan penumpang, peristiwa itu terjadi ketika bus melaju normal dalam kecepatan sedang.
