Berakhirnya Perang Dunia 2 tidak menghentikan kontribusi Putri Elizabeth kepada Inggris.
Pada 1947, Putri Elizabeth menikah dengan Pangeran Phillip di Biara Westminster, London. Putri Elizabeth pun menggantikan ayahnya sebagai Ratu Inggris pada 1952.
