Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD itu mengatakan, selain dipecat, ketiga polisi tersebut harus dihukum pidana secara maksimal plus pemberatan sebagai anggota penegak hukum.

Menurutnya, dengan menghukum pidana ketiga anggota polisi tersebut, penyidik Polri dapat melacak jaringan pencurian motor yang ada di masyarakat, bahkan di tubuh Korps Bhayangkara sendiri.
“Bisa juga dijadikan mata rantai untuk menemukan jaringannya baik yang ada di tengah masyarakat maupun yang ada di tubuh Polri sendiri. Lacak komplotannya,” tutur Mahfud.
Menanggapi pernyataan Menkopolhukam tersebut, Kabid Humas Polda Sumut Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi mengatakan, pernyataan Mahfud tersebut mendorong pihaknya untuk terus berbenah. Dia menyebutkan, pihaknya tidak serda merta langsung memecat ketiga polisi tersebut.
Ia menyebutkan, ada proses yang harus dijalani untuk memberikan sanksi pemecatan terhadap perilaku menyimpang anggota polisi. “Namanya proses dari mulai tahap penyidikan, kemudian masuk etiknya di Propam, penuntutan di Propam dan sebagainya itu berproses, jadi tidak serta merta,” kata Hadi, Senin (10/10/2022).
Ia menegaskan, saat ini petugas Propam tengah menjalankan proses tersebut. “Tidak serta merta ada kasus lalu PTDH, enggak semuanya berproses, ada prosesnya ada aturannya itu yang dijalankan oleh Propam saat ini,” lanjutnya.
Selain itu, ia menegaskan komitmen Kapolda Sumut terhadap perilaku menyimpang dari anggotanya. Ia yakin, komitmen Kapolda Sumut terhadap perilaku menyimpang anggota Polda Sumut bisa dilihat dan dirasakan.
“Yang jelas, komitmen Kapolda terhadap perilaku menyimpang anggota polda sumut akan dikenakan tindakan tegas bahkan sampai pemecatan. Komitmen terhadap layanan masyarakat, memberikan penegakkan hukum yang berkeadilan itu komitmen Kapolda,” bebernya.
Sambung dia, persoalan penyimpangan anggota polisi di Sumut bukan kali ini saja. Ada banyak perilaku menyimpang anggota Polda Sumut yang berujung dengan pemecatan.
“Ini bukan sekali saja, beberapa kasus-kasus perilaku narkoba dan sebagainya, anggota-anggota yang bermasalah kita langsung lakukan PTDH. Tapi berproses, tidak serta merta jadi etik berjalan, pidana jalan sampai dengan adanya putusan PTDH dan inkrah di pengadilan,” ucapnya.
Diketahui, Tim gabungan Polrestabes Medan bersama Polda Sumut menangkap tiga personel Polri yang mencoba melakukan perampokan sepeda motor milik warga di Jalan Gatot Subroto, Medan.
