Prof Dr Baharuddin, ST, MPd
INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN – Prof Dr Baharuddin, ST, MPd terpilih menjadi Rektor Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed) periode 2023-2027 dalam sidang Senat dengan agenda pemilihan rektor tahap akhir yang dilaksanakan di Gedung Pusat Administrasi Unimed, Selasa (20/6).
Rapat senat tersebut dipimpin langsung oleh Ketua Senat Unimed Prof Dr Syawal Gultom, MPd, didampingi sekretaris Winsyahputra Ritonga, SPd, MSi, dan kuasa dari Kemdikbudristek Prof Dr Ir M Faiz Syuaib, MAgr (Direktur Riset, Teknologi, dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Ditjen Diktiristek Kemdikbudristek).
Kemudian, Drs Suwitno (Koordinator SDM Sekretariat Ditjen Diktiristek Kemdikbudristek), dan seluruh anggota Senat Unimed yang berjumlah 52 orang.
Setelah dilakukan pemilihan, Prof Baharuddin mendapatkan 59 suara, disusul oleh Dr Erond Litno Damanik, MSi dan Dr Marice, MHum dengan masing-masing 10 suara dan satu suara abstain. Total keseluruhan 80 suara, yakni 52 suara Senat Unimed dan 28 suara Mendikbudristek.
Prof Syawal Gultom dalam penutupan rapat senat mengaku bersyukur karena semua tahapan dalam Pemilihan Rektor Unimed ini berjalan dengan aman dan lancar.
“Kita semua menyampaikan selamat dan sukses kepada Prof Baharuddin yang terpilih sebagai Rektor Unimed periode 2023-2027, semoga Unimed semakin maju dan menjadi kampus terbaik di negeri tercinta Indonesia,” ucapnya.
Ketua Senat akan mengirimkan hasil rapat senat ini kepada Mendikbudristek sebagai laporan dan menunggu jadwal pelantikan Rektor Unimed yang diperkirakan dilaksanakan pada akhir Agustus 2023 di kantor Mendikbudristek. (ant)
