INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN- Direktur Utama PT Waskita Karya Destiawan Soewardjono menegaskan proyek perbaikan jalan di Sumatera Utara (Sumut) senilai Rp 2,7 triliun akan selesai sesuai target. Sebagai kontraktor proyek tersebut, PT Waskita Karya optimis target progres 33% akhir tahun ini dapat dicapai, dan saat ini sudah berjalan 5%.
Hal itu diungkapkan Destiawan Soewardjono saat konferensi pers bersama wartawan di Kantor Gubernur Sumut, Lantai 10, Jalan Diponegoro Nomor 30, Medan, Selasa kemarin. Menurutnya, peralatan akan disebar dalam minggu ini dan siap menyelesaikan pembangunan jalan.
”Sampai dengan akhir Desember 2022, target Insya Allah akan tercapai, kami berjanji pada Pak Gubernur, mudah-mudahan bisa lebih dari 33%,” kata Destiawan.
Destiawan juga meminta maaf kepada masyarakat Sumut yang sudah menunggu berjalannya proyek tersebut. Waskita berkomitmen tidak akan pernah meninggalkan proyek dalam keadaan belum selesai. Proyek akan diselesaikan sesuai rencana dan target.
“Kami mohon maaf atas keterlambatan progress proyek ini, kepada rakyat Sumut yang berharap bisa selesai, dengan kondisi yang ada kami mohon maaf, bukan berarti kami berhenti di sini,” katanya.
Destiawan mengaku adanya masalah teknis saat mengerjakan proyek tersebut. “Masalah teknis, kan ada design and build, kami survei dulu untuk membuat desain di lokasi yang tersebar itu, jadi setelah desain selesai, kami melakukan pelaksanaan pekerjaan itu, jadi ini yang mengalami hambatan di kami, dan sekarang desain itu sudah hampir 90%,” katanya.
Waskita juga membantah tidak memiliki dana mengerjakan proyek tersebut. “Kalau nggak ada dana proyek-proyek waskita yang lain nggak jalan dong, Insya Allah, masih berjalan nggak ada masalah,” tegas Destiawan.
Apabila proyek tersebut tidak sesuai dengan rencana, bukan hanya Pemprov Sumut saja yang bermasalah. Waskita, menurutnya, juga akan bermasalah dengan diputus kontraknya.
“Bukan hanya Pemprov yang bermasalah, Waskita juga putus kontrak, Waskita sebagai perusahaan publik yang diputus kontraknya maka pemerintah akan marah, PMN (penyertaan modal negara) akan ditarik lagi,” kata Destiawan.
Senada dengan Destiawan, Kepala Dinas Bina Marga dan Bina Konstruksi Bambang Pardede juga menegaskan proyek tetap berjalan sesuai rencana. “Yakin dan percayalah proyek ini masih dilanjutkan,” kata Bambang.
