KEBON SIRIH, INVOCAVIT.COM – Ketua Umum PWI Pusat Hendry Ch Bangun telah menetapkan Jakarta sebagai tuan rumah pelaksanaan Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2024 dengan mengusung tema “Mengawal Transisi Kepemimpinan Nasional dan Keutuhan Bangsa”.
“Acara puncak HPN berlangsung tanggal 9 Februari 2024 di Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (TIJA), Jakarta, yang diharapkan dapat dihadiri oleh Presiden Jokowi,”ujar Ketua Panitia Pelaksana (Panpel) HPN 2024, Marthen Selamet Susanto dalam rapat persiapan HPN 2024 di Kantor PWI Pusat, Gedung Dewan Pers, Jalan Kebon Sirih No 34, Jakarta, Rabu (25/10).
Berbeda dengan perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun PWI sebelumnya, HPN 2024 kali ini sangat istimewa karena sangat berdekatan— hanya lima hari menjelang pelaksanaan pesta demokrasi, yakni pemilihan presiden (Pilpres) dan pemilihan legislatif (Pileg) tanggal 14 Februari 2024 mendatang.
HPN 2024 adalah Hari Pers Nasional pertama di bawah kepemimpinan Hendry Ch Bangun. Saat acara serah jabatan pengurus PWI Pusat, beberapa hari lalu, Ketua Umum PWI Hendry Ch Bangun mencanangkan PWI Merah Putih, PWI yang berwawasan kebangsaan.
Dengan menyatakan PWI kembali ke Khittah 1946, berarti PWI ingin menegaskan kembali nilai perjuangan terkait keberagaman bangsa Indonesia dan Kemerdekaan Pers. Sikap itu dipertegas lagi dengan mengusung tema HPN 2024, “Mengawal Transisi Kepemimpinan Nasional dan Keutuhan Bangsa”.
Wakil Sekjen PWI Pusat, Raja Parlindungan Pane mengatakan gagasan-gagasan besar PWI terkait nilai kebangsaan juga akan dipromosikan lewat acara-acara yang dikemas dalam “Road to HPN 2024”.
“Kita ingin penyelenggaraan kali ini berbeda, tak saja menjadi pestanya masyarakat pers, tapi bisa juga dikenal oleh lapisan masyarakat lainnya,”tambah Raja Pane.
Ketua Bidang 1 HPN 2024 Agus Sudibyo mengatakan, acara seminar dan konvensi yang diadakan dalam rangka HPN 2024, tidak hanya ditujukan menjawab tantangan yang dihadapi masyarakat pers, tapi juga isu-isu lainnya yang terkait tantangan pembangunan nasional.
“HPN diselenggarakan bukan saja untuk masyarakat pers, tapi juga sebagai kado ulang tahun PWI untuk bangsa Indonesia,”tambah Agus Sudibyo.
Salah seorang tokoh pers nasional, Marah Sakti Siregar mengatakan, salah satu acara unggulan HPN 2024 adalah dialog kebangsaan yang akan menampilkan tiga calon presiden dan wakil presiden di Kantor PWI Pusat.
Menurut Marah Sakti, masyarakat pers, organisasi PWI sangat berkepentingan hadirnya pemimpin nasional yang mengerti, memahami dan berpihak kepada nilai perjuangan kemerdekaan pers—sebagai salah satu pilar demokrasi, serta memiliki program kerja yang dapat memajukan kehidupan pers di Tanah Air, termasuk kesejahteraan wartawan. ***
