VIDEO dibawah ini diambil pada tanggal 25 Mei 1998, di dalam LP Cipinang, 5 hari setelah Soeharto tumbang. kami Berempat yakni : Fauzi Isman Andi Saputra, Saya, dan Boediman Soetjatmiko mendatangi pintu gerbang (dekat pos keamanan utama) di LP Cipinang.

Saat itu wartawan beramai-ramai masuk ke dalam areal penjara tersebut untuk meliput kebebasan Mochtar Pakpahan dan Sri Bintang Pamungkas.
Karena Habibie hanya membebaskan mereka berdua kami melakukan protes di hadapan wartawan, dan mengecam cara Presiden Habibie menetapkan Napol yang akan mendapat amnesti.
Di bawah ini Pernyataan Sikap bersama atas kebijakan amnesti Presiden Habibie yang sangat diskriminatif.
PERNYATAAN SIKAP ATAS KEPUTUSAN PEMERINTAH HABIBIE TENTANG PEMBERIAN AMNESTI BAGI NARAPIDANA/TAHANAN POLITIK
Sehubungan dengan keputusan pemerintah Habibie tentang pemberian amnesti bagi narapidana dan tahanan politik (napol/tapol), maka kami, para napol/tapol menyatakan sikap.
Dalam keputusan tersebut kami melihat adanya hal-hal yang kontroversial. Jika hal-hal yang kontroversial ini tidak diperjelas, maka kami meragukan adanya niat rekonsiliasi nasional, sebagai bagian yang tak terpisahkan dari reformasi, dari pemerintahan Habibie.
Sikap kami adalah sebagai berikut:
Menerima pembebasan kami sejauh merupakan pembebasan tanpa syarat. Maka dari itu kami menolak pemberian amnesti sebagai bentuk pembebasan kepada kami.
Kami menyadari bahwa amnesti hanya diberikan kepada mereka yang bersalah. Sedangkan dalam kasus politik yang menimpa kami, sama sekali tidak ada kesalahan yang kami lakukan.
Mengenai hukuman yang sudah ditimpakan kepada kami, semuanya adalah rekayasa pengadilan oleh rejim Soeharto. Kejadian dan fakta politik akhir-akhir ini telah membuktikan sikap penentangan kami terhadap kediktatoran Soeharto. Kami semua adalah korban-korban politik rejim Soeharto.
Oleh karena itu, kami mempertanyakan kriteria/klasifikasi tapol/napol yang ditetapkan pemerintah Habibie tentang pembatasan jumlah tapol/napol yang akan dibebaskan, yaitu diluar tapol/napol yang terlibat G30S; yang menentang Pancasila dan UUDÕ45, yang melakukan tindakan politik diikuti dengan kekerasan; yang semuanya menunjukkan bahwa penguasa sekarang membutakan dirinya terhadap manipulasi sejarah dan rekayasa pengadilan rejim Soeharto.
Begitu pula dengan adanya penafsiran tunggal terhadap Pancasila oleh Soeharto, penggunaan cara-cara militeristik yang memprovokasi kekerasan oleh lawan politik penguasa, pengingkaran terhadap Resolusi PBB No. 3485/1975 tentang penghentian pendudukan Timor-Timur, serta mengupayakan usaha-usaha menentukan nasib sendiri bagi rakyat Maubere; dan juga manipulasi sejarah tentang G30S/1965, semuanya fakta-fakta yang menunjukkan bahwa sepanjang kekuasaannya Soeharto telah mengorbankan banyak orang.
Kami memandang pembebasan atas Dr. Muchtar Pakpahan dan Ir. Sri Bintang Pamungkas belum mencerminkan semangat reformasi yang sesungguhnya. Karena masih ada lebih-kurang 200 orang tapol/napol di seluruh Indonesia.
Melihat kenyataan di atas, maka kami menolak penetapan kriteria/klasifikasi tapol/napol yang layak dibebaskan, secara sepihak. Itu tidak adil.
Untuk itu, kami menuntut:
Pembebasan tapol/napol tanpa syarat. Oleh karena itu pula kami meminta Menteri Kehakiman untuk menguraikan secara jelas dan terbuka tentang jadwal pembebasan seluruh tapol/napol.
Pemberian rehabilitasi dan pemulihan hak-hak sipil dan politik para eks tapol/napol korban rejim Soeharto.
Berdasarkan tuntutan-tuntutan di atas, kami menyerukan kepada para pendukung reformasi total untuk bahu-membahu bersama rakyat melakukan gerakan yang sistematis, menuntut pembebasan seluruh tapol dan napol di Indonesia.(bc).
