TANJUNGBALAI,INVOCAVIT.COM-Unsur patroli Lanal Tanjung Balai Asahan melalui tim F1QR KAL Pandang I-1-72 berhasil menangkap kapal ikan asing (KIA) berbendera Malaysia Rabu(26/2) sekira pukul 10.00.qib yang melakukan aktivitas _illegal fishing_ menggunakan alat tangkap pukat harimau di Perairan Indonesia. Penangkapan ini dilakukan sebagai respons cepat terhadap laporan nelayan setempat mengenai keberadaan kapal ikan asing yang mencuri ikan di wilayah perairan nasional.
Kapal yang ditangkap diketahui bernomor registrasi PKFB909, GT 54,96, bendera Malaysia, nahkoda berinisial MYO (40 tahun). Kapal ini berhasil diamankan di koordinat 03°23’739″ U – 100°12’421″ T, setelah tim patroli KAL Pandang I-1-72 mengonfirmasi keberadaan kapal tersebut yang tengah melakukan aktivitas ilegal.
Danlanal TBA, Letkol Laut (P) Wido Dwi Nugraha, S.E., M. Tr. Opsla, menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan patroli ini menunjukkan komitmen kuat TNI AL dalam menjaga kedaulatan perairan Indonesia dari berbagai aktivitas ilegal, termasuk pelanggaran wilayah dalam hal ini daerah penangkapan ikan yang dilakukan secara ilegal oleh kapal ikan asing.
Sebelum ditangkap, kapal Malaysia tersebut sempat berupaya melarikan diri ke arah Malaysia setelah mengetahui kehadiran kapal patroli. Upaya pengejaranpun dilakukan oleh KAL Pandang I-1-72, bahkan petugas patroli terpaksa melepaskan tembakan peringatan agar kapal segera berhenti. Setelah upaya pengejaran yang intens, kapal akhirnya berhasil dihentikan beserta lima orang anak buah kapal (ABK) didalamnya. Kapal beserta awaknya kemudian dikawal menuju Posal Bagan Asahan untuk pemeriksaan awal dengan pengawalan dari Patkamla Combat Boat Catamaran, selanjutnya dibawa ke Mako Lanal Tanjung Balai Asahan guna menjalani penyelidikan lebih lanjut.
Tindakan ini merupakan wujud ketegasan TNI AL dalam menindak segala bentuk pelanggaran kedaulatan di laut, khususnya dalam memerangi praktik _illegal fishing_ yang merugikan sumber daya kelautan Indonesia.(anja)
