Akibatnya, pengendara sepeda motor Honda Beat BK 4614 AJC, Junendra Sinuraya (27) warga Dsn I Desa Durin Simbelang, Kec. Pancur Batu mengalami kuka-luka sedangkan temannya yang dibonceng bernama Dedi Ginting (22) warga Dsn II Desa Namoriam, Kec. Pancur Batu, Kab. Deli Serdang tewas.
Informasi diperoleh, bus Toyota Dyna BL 7031 AC yang dikemudikan Idul Adlin (47) warga Desa Tangsi Lama, Kec. Seruway, Kab. Aceh Tamiang berjalan dari arah Berastagi, Tanah Karo menuju Medan. Pada saat bersamaan searah didepannya berjalan sepeda motor Honda Beat yang dikendarai Junendra Sinuraya berboncengan dengan Dedi Ginting.
Di TKP, arus lalulintas padat merayap namun tiba-tiba, sopir bus yang coba menghentikan laju kenderaannya mengalami rem blong sehingga pengendara Honda beat yang berada didepannya tergilas bus.
Sopir bus baru bisa menghentikan kenderaannya setelah menabrak bram jalan. Tak ayal, pengendara sepeda motor terseret sejauh 5 meter.
Warga sekitar yang melihat datang ke lokasi kejadian sekaligus melaporkannya ke Poslantas Polsek Pancur Batu.
Tak lama kemudian, petugas Poslantas Polsek Pancur Batu turun ke TKP melakukan penanganan. Selanjutnya, mengevakuasi jasad korban tewas dan luka-luka tersebut ke RSUP H. Adam Malik. Sedangkan, sopir dan kedua kendaraan yang terlibat tabrakan tersebut diamankan ke Mapolsek Pancur Batu untuk proses lanjut.
Kapolsek Pancur Batu Kompol Eriyanto Ginting, SSos melalui Kanit Lantas Iptu Pol Rijal Purba ketika dikonfirmasi mengatakan, penyebab terjadi tabrakan maut itu karena rem bus Toyota Dyna mengalami blong.
“Begitu kejadian, korban langsung dievakuasi ke RSU H. Adam Malik. Sedangkan sopir dan kendaraan yang mengalami tabrakan sudah kita amankan di Mako,” ujar Iptu Rijal.(tg)
