MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Tim Jatanras Direktorat Reskrimum Polda Sumut menangkap 8 orang komplotan geng motor dan pelaku pencurian kekerasan (curas).
Kapolda Sumut, Irjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi melalui Kabid Humas Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi mengatakan kedelapan orang komplotan geng motor yang ditangkap itu melakukan aksi kejahatan di kota Medan, Binjai dan Langkat.
Tim dipimpin Kasubdit Jatanras Kompol Bayu Putra Samara melakukan penyelidikan atas laporan masyarakat dan berhasil menangkap dua orang pelaku berinisial RP alias Batak dan AS alias CS di Jalan Bejemuna, Kabupaten Langkat.
“Kedua pelaku ini merupakan komplotan dari enam pelaku lainnya yang sudah ditangkap dan ditahan Polres Binjai dan mereka mengakui melakukan kejahatan dengan merampok sepeda motor milik korban,” jelasnya.
“Keenam pelaku yang telah ditahan di Polres Binjai itu berinisial FS, NA, EET, M, D dan D,” ujar mantan Kapolres Biak Papua tersebut.
Hadi megungkapkan, komplotan geng motor yang ditangkap itu pernah tujuh kali melakukan kejahatan di wilayah Helvetia, Sunggal, Binjai dan Langkat. Modus kejahatan dilakukan para pelaku konvoi dengan mengancam menggunakan senjata tajam lalu membawa kabur sepeda motor milik korbannya.
“Hasil kejahatan dipakai beli narkoba, test urine para pelaku semuanya positif (narkoba) mereka saat ini ditahan dan terancam hukuman 12 tahun penjara,” pungkasnya.(jos)
