INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN – Dalam rangka memperingati hari Tuberkulosis Sedunia sekaligus sebagai upaya mencegah penyebaran penyakit Tuberkulosis (TBC), Pemko Medan melalui Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan melakukan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat, Jumat (24/3).
Penyuluhan dilakukan disejumlah tempat diantaranya di Rumah Sakit, Puskesmas, Faskes dan di tempat-tempat umum salah satunya di pasar.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan Taufik Ririansyah melalui Kabid P2P Pocut Fatimah Fitri menjelaskan 24 Maret merupakan peringatan hari TBC sedunia. Dalam rangka memperingatinya Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan melakukan sejumlah kegiatan salah satunya dengan melakukan penyuluhan tentang bahaya TBC khususnya bagi anak-anak.
“Penyuluhan ini kami lakukan diseluruh Rumah Sakit, Puskesmas, dan Faskes termasuk juga di tempat umum seperti di pasar petisah yang baru saja kita lakukan tadi.”kata Pocut Fatimah Fitri.
Dikatakan Pocut Fatimah Fitri lagi penyuluhan penyakit TBC pada anak ini sangat penting dilakukan mengingat penyakit TBC pada anak informasinya masih belum terlampau dipahami layaknya penyakit TBC pada orang dewasa.
Sementara itu Pocut Fatimah Fitri juga menambahkan dari data terakhir ditahun 2022 untuk jumlah kasus TBC positif yang ditemukan dan diobati di Kota Medan jumlahnya mencapai 10.316 orang. Sementara untuk kasus TBC pada anak dengan rentang usia 0-14 tahun mencapai 789 orang.
“Ini data ditahun 2022 yang kita peroleh dari aplikasi SITB, sedangkan untuk total yang meninggal dalam kasus tersebut berjumlah 268 orang dimana 28 orang diantaranya masih berusia anak-anak,” papar Pocut Fatimah Fitri.
Untuk itu Pocut Fatimah Fitri menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar lebih waspada dengan penyakit TBC ini. Penyakit mematikan ini dapat dicegah dengan pola hidup sehat dan diobati. Untuk itu masyarakat jangan ragu untuk berobat apabila mengalami gejala sakit TBC.
“Masyarakat jangan ragu untuk berobat, karena sampai dengan hari ini pengobatan TBC ini gratis khususnya di Rumah Sakit dan Puskesmas Pemerintah,” himbau Pocut Fatimah Fitri. (mp)
