MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Rektor Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed) Prof Dr Baharuddin, ST, MPd di Medan, Jumat, melantik empat wakil rektor periode 2023-2027.
Keempatnya adalah Dr Abil Mansyur, MSi sebagai Wakil Rektor I, Winsyahputra Ritonga, SPd, MSi sebagai Wakil Rektor II, Prof Dr Marice, MHum sebagai Wakil Rektor III, dan Prof Dr Erond Litno Damanik, MSi sebagai Wakil Rektor IV.
Pada kesempatan yang sama rektor juga melantik Dekan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Dr Zulkifli, MSn, Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Dr Ratih Baiduru, MSi, Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Prof Dr Imran Akhmad, MPd, Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi (FE) Dr Ir Haikal Rahman, MSi, Ketua LPPMP Prof Dr Budi Valianyo, MPd dan Ketua LPPM Dr Hesti Fibriasari, MHum.
Rektor Prof Dr Baharuddin mengatakan pergantian pejabat merupakan hal yang biasa pada institusi apa pun, tidak terkecuali di institusi pendidikan tinggi seperti kampus Unimed.
Ia menyebut hal ini dilakukan atas dasar pertimbangan pengisian jabatan yang kosong, sudah habis masa periodenya atau penyegaran, serta penggantian sumber daya yang dinilai lebih mampu memberi energi baru pada sebuah jabatan. “Juga bertujuan untuk memantapkan dan meningkatkan kapasitas kelembagaan yang bermuara pada peningkatan kinerja pelayanan akademik terbaik,” ucapnya.
Pelantikan empat wakil rektor, empat dekan dan dua ketua lembaga di lingkungan Unimed diharapkan mampu menambah energi dan semangat baru menuju ketercapaian visi Unimed menjadi perguruan tinggi yang unggul di bidang pendidikan, rekayasa industri dan budaya.
Rektor mengajak para wakil rektor, dekan dan ketua lembaga yang baru dilantik segera merancang dengan baik apa yang harus dilakukan untuk mewujudkan visi tersebut.
Menurut dia, akreditasi institusi Unimed harus dipersiapkan menuju unggul di tahun 2026. Selain itu juga ada keterkaitan yang erat dengan keterpakaian lulusan di dunia kerja.
“Maka secara maksimal mari kita tata dan persiapkan dengan baik agar melahirkan lulusan yang unggul, bermutu dan siap bersaing di dunia kerja,” katanya.(ant)
