Akan tetapi, impian tersangka MR bekerja di Malaysia kandas ditangan Satres Narkoba Polresta Deli Serdang setelah ditangkap saat naik bus Pelangi di Jalan Lintas Medan – Tebing Tinggi Kecamatan Lubuk Pakam, Selasa (19/7/22). Kini, warga asal Kecamatan Peulimbang Kabupaten Bireun Provinsi Aceh tersebut mendekam dibalik jeruji besi Mapolresta Deli Serdang.
Informasi diperoleh menyebutkan, Selasa sekira pukul 8 pagi petugas Opsnal Sat Narkoba Polresta Deli Serdang mendapat info ada laki-laki membawa kotak kardus berwarna coklat diduga berisi ganja hendak melintas dari Jalan Lintas Lubuk Pakam-Tebing Tinggi Kecamatan Lubuk Pakam Kabupaten Deli Serdang menumpang bus Putra Pelangi.
Petugas pun bergegas menunggu bus yang disebutkan informan melintas. Sekira pukul 11.35 Wib, petugas menghentikan bus Putra Pelangi dan berhasil mengamankan MR.
Dari hasil introgasi kepada MR dirinya mengaku ada membawa ganja dalam kotak kardus disimpan dalam bagasi bus.
Saat dibuka dari dalam bagasi bus ditemukan 1 kotak kardus dan sebuah tas yang didalamnya ditemukan 8 bungkus ganja dalam plastik hitam dilakban coklat.
Kepada polisi MR mengaku ganja tersebut dibawanya dari Aceh dan akan diserahkan kepada E di Bukit Tinggi.
“Barang bukti ganja yang berhasil kita amankan dari tersangka seberat 7.170 gram. Karena perbuatannya pelaku dijerat dengan Pasal 114 (2) subs Pasal 111 (2) dan diancam hukuman penjara minimal 6 tahun maksimal 20 tahun atau seumur hidup atau hukuman mati,” kata Kasat Narkoba Polresta Deli Serdang Kompol Zulkarnain.
