Polda Sumut menitipkan dua ekor orang utan, satwa yang dilindungi kepada BKSDA yang disita dari seorang jaringan internasional perdagangan satwa dilindungi (ist).
INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN – Subdit IV/ Tipidter Direktorat (Dit) Reskrimsus Polda Sumut mengungkap Jaringan Internasional Perdagangan satwa dilindungi di Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Medan, Rabu (27/9) dini hari.
Dari pengungkapan jual beli satwa yang dilindungi itu diamankan seorang terduga yang menjadi kurir bernama Reza Heryadi (35) dengan barang bukti 2 ekor orang utan jantan dan betina yang diperkirakan masih berusia 5 bulan.
Kapolda Sumut Irjen Agung Setya melalui Kabid Humas Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, mengatakan pengungkapan jual beli satwa yang dilindungi jaringan internasional itu bekerja sama dengan Kementerian LHK Balai Besar Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser.
“Ada dua ekor Orang Utan yang dilindungi berhasil diselamatkan,” katanya, Jumat (29/9).
Hadi menerangkan, pengungkapan perdagangan satwa yang dilindungi itu masih dalam penyelidikan Subdit IV Tipidter Direktorat (Dit) Reskrimsus Polda Sumut untuk menangkap pelaku dan jaringan lainnya.
“Pengungkapan ini hasil kerjasama kita dengan agency dari Wildlife Justice Commission. Sementara untuk barang bukti dua ekor Orang Utan sudah dititip dan dirawat di BKSDA Prov. Sumut,” pungkasnya.(jos).
