Kepolisian menetapkan dua orang tersangka dalam kasus pembakaran maling ubi yang terjadi di Desa Bandar Klippa Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deliserdang pada 6 Agustus 2025 lalu.
“Sudah dua orang tersangka inisial Amr dan HR,” terang Kabid Humas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan didampingi Dansat Brimob, Kombes Pol Rantau Isnur, Rabu (13/8/2025).
Dijelaskan Kombes Ferry, HR melakukan penganiayaan terhadap korban PA. Sedangkan oknum Brimobda Sumut Bripka EL, datang ke lokasi pencurian ubi di Bandar Klippa, Kecamatan Percut Seituan karena dipanggil oleh Amr.
“EL mengenal korban dan hanya menempeleng PA karena kenal. ‘Kau, kau lagi’,” ujar Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan.
Disinggung soal senjata api (senpi) Amr, Kombes Ferry mengatakan, masih dalam penyelidikan termasuk jenis dan kepemilikannya.

“Anggota tetap diproses sesuai prosedur karena penganiayaan telah terjadi,” tegas Kombes Rantau Isnur.
Informasi dihimpun menyebutkan, peristiwa pembakaran itu diawali pencurian dua karung ibu yang dilakukan PA dan JS pada 6 Agustus 2025 sekira pukul 05.00 WIB lalu.
Aksi PA dan JS dipergoki hingga sampai ke telinga kadus. Waktu itu, PA dan JS kabur meninggalkan sepeda motor yang digunakan berikut ubi curiannya.
Kadus kemudian menghubungi PA dan JS untuk meminta maaf kepada Amr dan HR. Namun, penodongan dan penganiayaan hingga penyiraman bensin dialami PA dan JS. Bahkan, sempat disulut hingga pakaian salah satu korban terbakar.
Peristiwa itu kemudian viral setelah tidak tercapai kesepakatan pengobatan korban.
Viral unggahan di media sosial yang menyebutkan seorang pria diduga dianiaya dan dibakar oknum ASN hanya karena dituduh mencuri ubi.
Dilihat dari unggahan medan_lambe, Selasa 12 Agustus 2025, tampak unggahan foto pria yang dianiaya tersebut dalam kondisi kondisi kulit wajah, leher dan tangan terkelupas akibat luka bakar.
Dalam captionnya, admin menyampaikan kalau pencuri ubi dibakar oleh oknum ASN Pemkab Deli Serdang.
“Pelaku pencuri ubi dibakar, ASN Pemkab Deli Serdang diduga terlibat dugaan tindak pidana,” tulis admin di dalam foto.
Korban yang alami luka bakar di sekujur tubuhnya sempat dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit Mitra Medika Tembung, namun karena keterbatasan biaya korban kini jalani rawat jalan.
“Kasus ini telah resmi dilaporkan ke Polsek Medan Tembung dengan Nomor LP/B/1223/VIII/2025/Polsek Medan Tembung/Polrestabes Medan/Poldasu, tanggal 8 Agustus 2025,” tulisnya.
Kapolsek Medan Tembung AKP Ras Maju Tarigan ketika mengatakan, pihaknya telah menerima laporan korban dan sedang melakukan penyelidikan.
“Laporannya sedang berproses,” ujarnya, Selasa 12 Agustus 2025.
“Saksi-saksi sudah diperiksa, alat yang dipakai untuk membakar sudah kita sita, botol aqua yang ada bekas pertalite, baju yang dipakai korban saat dibakar,” ungkapnya.***
